Great night, very special. Bittersweet but I'm so glad we were there. How was John?

Great night, very special. Bittersweet but I'm so glad we were there. How was John? He read out a message at the start from a Dutch fan regarding Rick, that incorporated lots of Quo song titles. He got a bit emotional but then got started on the drums and everyone rocked out to Juniors. Later on he said that he and Alan had planned with Rick to record and release two of his songs and they were hoping to continue with that. Gotta go to sleep now... off to Cov again tomorrow....

A great night with a venue packed with like minded Quo fans, where I could share my grief. Thank you John and his band for an amazing set.

Short clip of Spud reading out a letter from last nights gig (on twitter). Thanks for finding that Twod. Its a longer email which John said he would post on his fb today. Beautifully written by a Dutch fan.

Brilliant gig and what we all needed at this difficult time. John did well and it was great to see so many fans at the Half Moon (a venue I last visited around 20 years ago when I was a regular there for "4 Bills And A Ben" gigs). There were tears but also a lot of joy as we shared our sadness but also celebrated the life of Rick. Nice to see Alan Parker in the audience as well as Ian Woods, both stayed for the whole gig.

Lovely clip which captures the feel but also demonstrates how the sound at the actual gig was soooo much better. In fact the guy who mixed the gig last night also deserves a mention. Better than I remembered it last time.

Wasn't there, but respect to John.
So sad, but respect to the whole Quo family. It's sinking in, but I just keep thinking about it day after day, probably will every time I play or hear Quo tunes in future.

Great gig, really superb. Viv thanks for the lift, we got home safely!! Glad you got your train ok! Yes it was a superb gig and perfect tribute to Rick. I had a few tears during Rain when I realised we'd never see him do that or his other iconic songs again.
