I am sorry to be negative but your reviews are as predictable as the Quo live experience of today. You might as well just say please refer to my previous reviews. I thought it was just me If you find them so tedious why even bother looking?

quoal quojc Thanks for review Lee. I see the usual suspects are still reading them. You have to laugh at suggestion your reviews are all the same considering the same record Derry and friends play themselves. Same negative drivel from them... Keep em coming Lee and soak it up. Cheers to you and Kylie for Christmas and 2017. Rockon Wilquo

I don't normally join in the great pedantic attendance-figures debate, but one date in one country draws c.5000 people? Changed days indeed. Is it because we're Scottish? Or/and canny be arsed getting rained on any more than is necessary. Or/and many of us didn't like the con and got refunds. Or, we're all skint up here. The Hydro actually holds 13,000 and not 10,000 as therockdoctor has stated on several occasions here. The curtained off sections are normal at The Hydro as these seats are unsellable as you can't actually see the stage from them unless the gig is "in the round". The venue was almost sold out with at least 10,000 punters there.

I don't see why I am not entitled to my opinion, without this personal attack. I have feelings too. Stusqo, please stop attacking, I cant cope with it.

Ooh, call the moderator to help you out. If I don't swear I should be ok...... Don't be hurt....opinions are like arseholes, we all have one. Keep em coming...... Rockon Wilquo

I was going off this Hydro page www.thessehydro.com/hire-venueThere was no standing section for the Quo gig and some areas were curtained off. I'm happy if there were more punters in there than I estimated and it was a good noisy crowd no matter what.

If you find them so tedious why even bother looking? I am an eternal optimist and live in hope that something amazing will have happened!

Assuming and I accept I could be wrong, that will be with standing. I suggest the audience was around 7000.

Absolutely no way there was anything like 10,000 there. Large sections curtained off, seated downstairs and plenty empty seats on all the rows around where we were. I would agree 5,000 was more like it.
I only went to see REO Speedwagon as they are a band I have always wanted to see. I was not disappointed and thought they were great.
Stayed around for Quo. Musically they were tight but even lighter than normal CQ without Rick bashing away ! RIchie did well enough and I actually thought Rhino and Andy's singing was OK (not good just OK).
Of the set, Softer Ride, HYB and Paper Plane sounded good.
However, this simply is not Quo. It just looks (and is) very, very , very wrong without Rick being there and does not sound as good either. I won't be back.

- you two are funny. Think about it. The set list doesn't change from gig to gig. This fan loves the act. What else can he say? Actually, there are small details that vary from review to review. Not every gig has the same atmosphere. Sometimes, he sees the support, sometimes not. And many others. He should lie to cause angst among those who didn't go..I'll willingly have a go. Last nights Glasgow gig was a feast of surprises for the happy audience. The appearance of Alan Lancaster,John Coghlan and Bob Young wowed the audience during the FF mid gig section.Lancaster growled his way through Backwater/Just Take Me and Don't Think It Matters. The idea of playing 3 songs each from Piledriver,Hello,Quo,On The Level and Blue For You was a great show stopper. The audience request part was brilliant, the audience given forms to fill in as they entered the arena. The most requested was Slow Train which the band ripped into with incredible vigour. The four hour show was split into 2 parts with an interval of 40 minutes to allow Francis Rossi's green telecaster to adjust to the venue temperature. It was sad that Rick Parfitt could not appear but the bloke from AC/DC did a good job in the circumstances. Ha. If only.
