A fantastic gig at the Heineken Hall in Amsterdam, sold out, noisy & involved crowd throughout. A highlight of my tour so far, great gig. The smiling faces on the audience said it all for me, another triumph for Quo in this territory. Also great to catch up with so many old friends from all over Europe at this gig, loyal fans still making the effort to support Quo.

Give it a break please. I think it must be hard for fans who are upset that Quo are going down this route to see that other fans are still getting something out the gigs. I can't say I'm that thrilled but I do enjoy reading the reviews. I'm still a Quo fan after all. But if 7 - 8000 people are going to all these gigs and having a good time, we have to accept that this form of Quo is working for some. They already have a decent crowd and they don't need to drum up trade here. Its hard, I understand, but please don't insult the intelligence of this long time Quo fan. As per 4th Chord post to deepthroat in the Munich gig thread. Your view is a bit harsh.

You have to wonder what the crowds would be like, since Rick isn't there, if they hadn't of said that this would be the last time the songs would be played electrically and if they hadn't of advertised Rick.... I know venues are far from being full etc but, it does make one think...

Oh yeah, freewilly, its a good point. And we don't know if this model is sustainable. The world is spinning in a strange way at the moment. This maybe the way of Quo or it may fold. I was out with some friends last night who were mouthing off about something else - not Quo related - and they said I was too reasonable - in jest but that did sting a bit. I used to be just like them but now, I feel tired of all the anger around me - everywhere I look. I can't get worked up over this any more. Live and let live I say. And if others are having fun, good on them. Meanwhile, I'm seeking out music that gives me the same buzz that old Quo gave me. Which might be nothing like Quo. But its music I enjoy.

Yep CG, I am doing the same thing and thank goodness there's a lot of good music besides Quo and some of it can definitely give me the same buzz Quo did

Give it a break please. Loyal fans is pushing it, I agree. The majority will be folk who know the name, like the hits, go to lots of gigs by 'classic' bands and care much less than we do about the authenticity of the lineup. ''Tis the way things are with not just Quo. Kiss for example.

I guess those are loyal fans in their own way even if I and others don't agree with them. I myself don't understand how someone can like the old stuff and what they are doing now, but there are fans who do like both the old and new.

Sure, I'd love Rick to be there but circumstances beyond control means he won't be there...

I'm very wary about posting anything positive on here (well to be honest posting anything at all) but here goes.... I flew out yesterday from Bristol to Amsterdam for the gig. Met up with some great friends and met some new great friends from far and wide! Had a few beers with them and really really enjoyed the gig! Yes I know Parfitt wasn't there but I enjoyed it! It isn't the first time I've seen Richie with Quo so I knew what to expect! It was sold out and the crowd were great! I had a fantastic time!!!!

We all have different opinions and all enjoy different things and no one should have to hide it when they like something, regardless of whether the majority likes it or not

I'm certainly no longer a fan of the band and in truth haven't been for many years. Loyal, nah they have let me down too many times and shown disrespect to people who pay money to people who go. If the band cared about the 'fans' they wouldn't play Rain which only a deaf man would say sounds better with Rhino singing and replace it with another song, maybe even one Rhino wrote. I still can't decide if it's crass or just plain laziness.
