I'll go to my grave before I give that horrific anti-Scottish cow a penny. So you're not too keen on her then?

Seems like a reasonable and well thought out statement.
The first few lines of paragraph 4, made me think of someone on here However, I also know that there is a fringe of nationalists who like to demonise anyone who is not blindly and unquestionably pro-independence and I suspect, notwithstanding the fact that I’ve lived in Scotland for twenty-one years and plan to remain here for the rest of my life, that they might judge me ‘insufficiently Scottish’ to have a valid view.
As for the statement being irrelevant because it was written in the Telegraph, what a bullshit statement, made by someone who has his own view on a subject and absolutely refuses to entertain anyone else's views if they are different from his. You and Donald Trump would be good friends I suspect. It doesn't matter where it appeared. It could have been the New York Times, Pravda, The Sun or Playboy Magazine, it does not matter. It's the message that matters not the paper it was printed in.

And your statement has been written by someone who has no idea whatsoever about what Rowling has been doing and saying in Scotland. No idea at all. All you are getting, is spoon-fed shite from the unionist, state-controlled UK media - Rowling is a part of that. I suggest that until you know the FACTS, like the people of Scotland do, I suggest you refrain from throwing shite at people. No, you said her said her statement was irrelevant because it appeared in the Telegraph. I disagreed with that. I said her statement remained the same whatever publication it appeared in (which of course you disagreed with )
And did you ever consider that "the facts" you are getting from your side aren't exactly close to the truth, or do you believe everything that is fed to you through the Scottish media because, well...they're Scottish, they'd never lie to us would they?

Then you obviously know very little about what the Telegraph is, who owns it, or its political leanings. You also know nothing about Rowling and her behaviour during, and after the independence referendum. If you did, you wouldn't come out with insulting shite like me being "friends with Trump". I suggest you acquaint yourself with these facts. As for your nonsense about the "Scottish" media, it shows just how little you know. Every single newspaper that is sold in Scotland, is owned and printed by people OUTSIDE Scotland....mostly England. They have a unionist agenda and a vested interest in keeping Scotland in this poisonous "union". There is only ONE pro-independence "newspaper" in Scotland, but as it is from a parent company who is unionist, I doubt its motives are genuine. Now, as for televisual media, Scotland is the ONLY COUNTRY IN THE DEVELOPED WORLD that does not have its own broadcasting service. Thanks to Westminster's fear, we have to take what they spoon feed us, such is their fear of the Scottish people ever finding out the truth about how they have been raped and pillaged for over 300 years. Imagine the USA controlling Canada's media in such a way. Or vice versa. Would you stand for it? They lie to the English in pretty much the same way, but at least they are in the same fucking country as Westminster. Rowling's statement is like everything else she has ever written - a lot of shite. Substitute the word "media" with "politician" then.

Geoff mate its lord of the rings for kids... Hi All, Wolfy, The daughter was into Harry Potter when she was younger and I never got the chance to watch them with her as I was always working late hours. I just don't know about watching them on me todd as aren't they really kids films ? Although I know the Fantastic Beast etc. etc. is a prequel it looks to be more young adult/Adult based although I suppose all ages would enjoy it...
Geoff.
