I emailed Duroc for an update on my refund. The response was that the relevant agents have been told to process the refunds so I should contact them.
The added line was that there is a deadline of 30 September to apply for refunds!!
The original email told me to tell Duroc where I brought the tickets and they would notify the agent, now I have to do it!
They aren't making this easy!!!

Thanks for that. I sent an email 2 days ago to Duroc with no response. They really know how to piss of loyal fans in so many different ways. How are you meant to know this if there is nothing on the Quo site and they don't reply to your email?

I did get an email from Duroc. Standard issue as the other ones.
it might be a handful of people but that is because only a handful know about it. if they put it on the official site i think they would see a few more.

i also got the same snotty email.... phoned Ticket Factory to speed them up and got an instant refund...SongKick will pay up in next 10 days. Duroc playing hardball , it was a standard email accusing me of making some comments that they were saddened by". My email contained NO comments whatsoever, i simply asked for a refund. Just shows they can't be bothered to communicate to "only a handful of fans". If its that important to them and its "only a hand full of fans" then why a pro forma answer? Not a good reflection on them at all, and why the need for a cut off date if it's a genuine offer

So... little over a week since it was announced (NOT via Quo themselves) that there would be refunds there's now suddenly a deadline.
Not one official statement from the management regarding this - merely (but much appreciated) fans posting on here.
A few titbits in papers/websites about refunds but lack of clarity and information about how to get these refunds. People who MAY have seen the story and tried to get a refund through Songkick, etc, and REFUSED will think they don't have a chance, when it reality, they do.
The vast majority of people who bought tickets will be none the wiser about the chance to get refunds. They will find out on the night about Rick.
The decision by Porter to spend his time being personal and insulting towards fans rather than making the same offer as any other artist would do is truly shameful. But then, I remember now... He is a publicist, not a manager, so won't want to "damage the reputation of the Quo name".

I was going to go along to Dublin, but I REALLY just can't do it! Rick is just TOO much of a loss for me personally! I'd rather a refund! So, I just rang Ticketmaster in Dublin to request my refund... but they said they knew nothing about refunds... but only that they knew of Rick not attending! I had said that there have been tickets refunded, but they wanted a copy of an email from Duroc stating about the refunds. I emailed Duroc just now, so based on their reply time, I could miss out! :-(
UPDATE: I have also just sent an email to MCD who are the promoters.

Words fail me about this process.
i copied the team rock release on Ftmo, MCD, and quo facebook. Clearly loads of people there who want and had not heard of refunds.
I asked ftmo to post the team rock coverage as a new topic, but they were waiting for something from Duroc.
This is is a false deadline. If anyone still wants a refund after 30th, they will get it...they might have to push it, but they will get it.
and if it's only a hand full who want refunds, what's it matter how long the refunds go on.

I think they have painted themselves into a bit of a corner here. They have set a precedent of giving refunds but have failed to publicise this to the wider fan base. Now we can argue all day how many people care if Rick is playing or not but there will be a few, more than handful, who a. Might not know rick isn't playing or B. are unaware they can get a refund but would take one if offered. If these people turn around after the cut off date Duroc don't have a leg to stand on and I can't see how they can refuse a refund. What management should have done was have all the ticket agencies who sold tickets to email those who had bought tickets giving them the option of a refund. At least that would be the morally correct thing to do ,not to do it discreetly to those who happened to question them about refunds. It all smacks of a money grab which leaves a very bad taste.

I feel sorry for those that would probably take a refund but don't know about it.
