Its a penalty shoot out remember and its still 2-1 to the Quo album . Who is next up to take one? All you have to do is name your fave album from the two to score.
Whichever album gets 5 votes first is the winner.

Interesting concept - over on the Slade board they have a "Slade Cup" where 32 songs from their career are drawn out in pairs and everyone votes to decide which song progresses to the next round, and so on.
Last time had "Cum on Feel The Noize" (sort of their Man City and clear favourite) up against "Radio Wall of Sound" (sorta like a Championship side who fought through to the big one)
Worked well, included upsets and crap draws. Was very entertaining.

Hi everyone,
I will go for "Quo", both the music and the sleeve design. It's not an easy choice, but "Quo" was the first Quo album I came about when it was released in '74. The radio was on at home and suddenly a sonic boom started playing. It was Just Take Me. It totally blew me up. Blue For You would come inmediatelly second

I think I’m in a minority of one who isn’t as keen on the Quo album. It’s their weakest classic album for me. Drifting away I don’t like particularly and don’t think it’s matters is ok but I far prefer rain
I don’t like the production for the most part. That said I think lonely man is fantastic as are slow train and the opening two
Half an amazing album but no, I prefer all the others 72 - 76

I just like Blue For You more. On the face it seems an even match. But Mystery Song adds a lot. Have they ever bettered it as a closing track? Blue For You.

Can't go wrong with either Blue For You or Quo. Both are on my top three together with Piledriver. Very hard to say which one is the best, depends on the mood. Quo is raw and heavy and I love that. The songwriting is really great and there are no weak tracks. Blue For You is the best sounding of all their albums I think.
Here is my ranking of every track and it seems as it's in favor for the Quo album. I think both albums are very well balanced though and just pick the eight best tracks wouldn't necessarily be a better album. Just Take Me are brilliant on the album because how they are paired with Backwater, but on its own its just great.
1. Mystery song 2. Backwater 3. Slow train 4. Don't think it matters 5. Lonley man 6. Drifting away 7. Rolling home 8. Ring of a change 9. Break the rules 10. Rain 11. Is there a better way 12. Just take me 13. Blue for You 14. Mad about the boy 15. Ease your mind 16. Fine fine fine 17. That's a fact

I've never taken to the Quo album in the same way as the other albums in that 1972-1976 period. Drifting Away and Don't think it matters in particular just don't hit the sweet spot compared to songs off Hello and On the Level.

As its 4-4 , it only seems fitting that I take the deciding one.
I am discounting bonus tracks and am voting on the original release only.
So the only way I can split them is working back from my least favourite track on each and as all the rest are absolute belters , I enjoy Fine, Fine Fine more than Ease your Mind and Blue for You.
So Tucking it away in the top corner , I declare the winning album as:
QUO
5-4 on penalties, excellent game and an idea for the Quo Cup !
