Completely ignored for the Aquostic project?
Literally, every song on there is literally made for acoustic versions and there are some great songs on there...
Well, at least to me there are

You could actually say that about the live set too,the last 36 years of quo hardly feature which shows Rossi probably doesn’t believe in CQs material enough . Cheers

Cheers Yep, I certainly don't understand why UTI was neglected since basically 2001. Twenty Wild Horses, Blessed are the Meek, The Way It Goes, Making Waves and UTI especially are songs Francis seems to have invested a lot of emotion and thought into and that's what gets me going when listening to them in comparison to say Not At All or Stay The Night But the material on UTI obviously meant something to him so I'm surprised he ignores it...Jesus, he even sounds like he means it on Little White Lies which is a Rick song... Yeah, I don't understand it at all.

I’ve seen Leon fingerpicking an acoustic on Instagram. He’s great. A finger picked version of 20 wild horses would actually be welcome

It's an album that's been largely overlooked for a long time, even when there's been remastering to be done. It's always sort of stood alone. Maybe because it was a one-off, record label wise.
Francis grabbed a couple of tracks for his solo tour back in 2010 but, other than that, it rarely gets a look in these days.

I do know and love Twenty Wild Horses but I don't know this album at all. Thanks mortified for reminding me how I know this track. I too think it could have been played for Aquostic gig. I think abbreviating the album title is an unfortunate acronym because it is also used for a type of bladder infection. That is what I think when I see the title of this thread.

Not necessarily from a material point of views, but Eagle Rock as opposed to poly gram and vertigo felt like a massive come down to me anyway. Think it’s also their lowest ever original charting album except for a perfect Remedy. The pub tour also felt desperate. As did the pub sign cover It was a period when they were trying to remember who they were as a band, but not quite there yet.

There were plans for AQUOSTIC III with newer tracks. I don’t know if it’s still in their minds but still possible.. Francis will be touring solo with an acoustic set next year.

There's nothing bad about it per say but for me, once it got to track 3, I was like, Oh...🤷♂️ Nothing about it grabs me except the first 2 songs. Inoffensive, it's not Perfect Remedy but its not Piledriver The tour had various issues too. Rick's cancer scare and the old board went bat shit mental over the setlist. Still the best gig I've seen that year. Dublin June 2005. Even Francis said it was perfect so it must have been good 😆 They were "special guests" for Meatloaf They made mince of him...(Joke and pun intended) Edit: Francis did try rewrite Softer Ride. It's why he got sooooo defensive 😆

Francis played Blessed Are The Meek and Twenty Wild Horses. I don't know why SQ didn't play the latter more. I think it's a bouncy one, just like Hold you Back or Burning Bridges.

Very true and good point For an album released between 2 karaoke awful quo cover albums as they were in heavy panto light entertainment phase and had lost their way with so many gimmicks and appearances. They had to make an album which reminded themselves they could play some good songs and be a rock band.

Interesting period and one that we don't know an awful lot about. Or at least I don't think we're privy to the whole story. Don't Stop had gone platinum (or some such) but it seems that a new or extended recording contract surprisingly didn't follow. Certainly not one for new self-penned material. All that came out was another compilation. So Eagle Records stepped up to the plate in between Polygram's Don't Stop and Universal's Famous In The Last Century. I noticed that the reissued and repackaged Under The Influence in 2011 is now under Fourth Chord Records so presumably, behind the scenes, they managed to buy the rights to it and bring it under the Quo umbrella. Quo's record company involvement seems to have been strangely complex since the early 90's. Quite hard to keep up
