What a great track this is probably Rick’s best lyric in a Quo song. A lovely heartfelt tribute to marietta. I like him singing this kind of song as suits his voice perfectly. Glad it eventually got in the set about 10-12 years ago. Nice solo from Francis too.

It was certainly an intriguing song. It seemed a sincere lyric but I wondered if Quo fans would get it and not just think that Quo had gone soft and doing an Alessi Brothers 'Oh Lori' type of sentimental ballad.
I imagine that this is the type of Rick vocal that Rossi especially approved of, over Rick's later sometimes shouty Rock-out style. The song is taken to a higher level with the classy guitar solo. Good to hear that from all accounts it was Rossi doing the fret work and not Pip even if Pip had a guiding hand in the laying down of the foundations of the guitar solo.

I really don't get this song or, this type of arrangement.
As it's Quo, I tried, I really tried to like it.
But I just can't stand it.

That polarisation thing It's a track I've always liked although, admittedly, when they tried it live a few years back, it went down like the Hindenberg I just like the whole vibe. I'm not a ballad sort of chappie, but I like the melody and feel of this one. Just the overall sound including the keyboards. The solo is a treat. The lyrics, as with most Quo songs, I don't really bother that much about. Unless they're exceptionally naff. Good or clever is a bonus. As 'softer' Quo songs go, this is one of the better ones. Because there aren't many, that's for sure.

When I was young I didn’t like this one and thought that the ”no no no no, no no no” sounded stupid. I even thought that Rick might have been a bit lazy and didn’t care to find real words for this part of the verse. Nowadays: I Love it! Brilliant love song (which I planned to use at my wedding, unfortunately we broke up before though…) with a fantastic solo! I thought it worked quite good live and it was especially nice to see that Rossi nailed the solo!

Yet, Francis says Overdose is a great song and has a great vocal from Rick, despite saying he hated his rock voice... Go figure...

I hate it. Never like it, even with the remix. I only leave it when I'm too lazy to click on the skip button.

I'm getting out here if we're anything to do with the New Romantics.
