Another that would have been great in the set back in the day.
What a track though when it's only my 6th or 7th favourite on the album !
Dont make them like this anymore, sadly.

I know I am in the minority but I never have been able to like this track. Where Alan's rough voice works fine on Don't think it matters and Backwater in this one it just never worked for me.

Over the years this is the only song from the Quo album that it still is in the same place, it's not bad, but...I don't know, there's something wrong. Along with Fine, Fine, Fine, it's one of those songs that I don't play it just for fun, only when I'm hearing the full album.

Always divides opinion. I think it's great, so powerful and a sheer monster of a riff. Oh those twists and turns...

One song after another, the QUO album is …well, Quo at their brilliant best. Drifting Away is yet another superb rocker.

Love the energy of the track but not the shouty vocal really.

Weakest track on the album for me. Always was. But it's such a superb album, that's hardly a criticism!
Always thought the guitars were over-fuzzed, especially the opening bars. But there's no getting away from the fact this is still a cracking little toon. Great outro as well.

I’m probably in a minority of one but I really dislike the sound on the Quo album. The trebly high end frequencies are so prevalent that it just sounds like nails on a blackboard.
That said I don’t mind this one. I’d never chose to listen to it - lonely man, ST, BW/JTM are all superior to me.
