Love that clip In that instant, it was sounding better than the live versions of the previous few decades

Best version, without a doubt, is the 1989 version. It just starting with Rick and Francis before the rest of the band come in for the 2nd verse, brilliant.

I'd forgotten about the 89 version
Perhaps the best arrangement? Starts great.
I don't like the heavy use of piano later in this version, and Francis doesn't keep the lead simple throughout, which is part of the charm of the song.

Fabulous Even the look of the band is mean and moody. None of the cheeky chappie high jinks here. This is serious stuff, maaaaan Bordering on the unbeatable. Feel that neck move.... Even better live? Certainly very good but the original will always be best for me. 11/10 Hmm. I do think this was the start of Quo's decline after POMM.

That's the thing about this song. There are no poor versions of it. It's timeless. You can cite the original (1971), the Apollo (1976), the NEC (1989), the Pictures tour (2008/09) and the reunion jam. All of them are superb. There's even the Steve Wright show acoustic snippet which sounds like it would have worked brilliantly as part of the Aquostic project. We all have our favourites but it's an absolute gem of a song

I really like the '89 version live at NEC posted above, but also the live version from Paris Theatre in '73.
