I like this one, it had been played live at one stage liked to hear that.

I heard it live. It didn't sit too well. They dropped it shortly after - correctly, in my view.

I saw it played live as well, although it's a very distant memory. Never even heard a bootleg of it. I think Rockers Rollin' was played before it in the set. Maybe not immediately though. Can't remember. But these two songs are the ones I recollect most from the gigs in 1979.
I really like the song. It's typical Rick. It sticks out a mile for me on the album. Well, that and Like A Good Girl. If I play any of this album at all, it's these two songs I turn to.

Read somewhere the original intro which became the start of Whatever you want was supposed to go with this instead but they decided it didn’t fit or something?

I saw them at the end of May and Like A Good Girl wasn't in the set. I didn't know they'd played that live. That's some opening to the set up to Rockin' And even then, that wasn't the 'anthem' or the band's signature tune it is now. I'm not fan of Dirty Water but it must have come as a blessed relief after that lot!

Gonna Teach You To Love Me was dropped after a short period, thank god - f*cking awful song. Like A Good Girl was also dropped at some point, which is a shame as it segued decently into Rockin'

Quo weren't in the UK, according to QuoGigography, until the 9th May at Wembley Arena Edit; You might have actually been at the last concert they performed Like A Good Girl. Setlist.FM (which isn't exactly always correct) has the N.E.C. show being the last one with it in the set

These would make a terrific live compilation if any of them could be tracked down. Although there are so many "live and rare" albums out there. They'd need a better title. Mad about a Good Girl or something

Mad about a Good Girl or something We did the Rennes Salle Omnisport gig via the SQ Rescued Recordings group, when all 3 songs were still in the set. Fairly decent recording that I need to reupload. Annoying that Like A Good Girl was dropped, as we could've had a professional recording of it from the Hammersmith 26th June show. I suppose it's only like the fact we missed out on having a professional recording of Nightride, as it wasn't in the set when those 4 gigs were recorded at the start of 1975. But, hey... at least we have 4 recordings of I Saw The Light Still hoping that there's an early live recording of Down Down, with it being in and out of the set early on

Good song, the best from a rather weak and overproduced album. Unfortunately I never got to see it live (Quo didn’t play in Scandinavia between january -78 and april -81, a period long as a zillion lightyears for someone in his early teens)

Whenever I hear any part of Oh! What a Night, or even see the song title on the album, my mind switches off Quo and instead I hear the contrasting takes on "Such a Night" by Johnnie Ray and Elvis Presley. It begins It was a night oo-oo what a night It was it really was such a night Two entirely different versions. The BBC banned the Ray one in 1954 . I saw him live in 1957 at the Palace in Manchester. Elvis covered it on the album "Elvis is Back" in 1960
