Another goodie Lucky enough to see it done live. Just the once. Actually, no, it was twice. Once by Quo (yonks ago) and once by Pay*ola at one of the French fan club bashes in Lille. B-side to Down Down of course. I think I might have preferred it to the A-side at the time. Shows how much I know The song captures that languid swing that they used to do so easily ( In My Chair is another example). Something they sort of lost as they got older and it seemed to become more forced; more formulaic. Haven't heard this in ages. Nice one.

I'd rank it at the moment 2nd to last strongest on the album just in front of Bye Bye Johnny and just a smidge behind the rest. Never heard it live but can imagine it would have sounded really powerful.

Magnificent, pulverising, swaggering stuff. The solo section really captures the intensity of the performance and Spud goes all-out thrash on the cymbals on the outro. What's not to love?

Always seen this one as a bit of a filler track on the album maybe due to the fact that it was used as a B side and the first time I heard it was that way. It is by no means a weak track but maybe been better suited on the previous album.

Never get it, but don't mind to listen to it. Even I don't know how this song could be for a very short time in the setlist and Over and Done not.

Seen JCQ perform it & that's probably what made me appreciate it a lot more than I did for many decades

Same as most of you folks - I never really 'got it', love the raw/tough 'sound' of it though [if that makes any sense!!]

I suppose it is a measure of the consistent quality of the OTL album as a whole that 'Nightride' is not one I automatically think of as a highlight or especially want to hear before the other tracks but when I do hear it, it encapsulates that gung ho attitude that Quo had but with a memorable melody.

Absolutely brilliant song from an absolutely brilliant album! Definitly on my Top Ten list! Would have loved to see it live! It would have worked brilliant as an set opener!

I love this one, mentioned it before but this is the best pissed/stoned at a party but hoping for a shag record ever.
