Apart from April Summer.... my favourite track from Ma Kelly.
A simple, quirky little acoustic number with Francis's voice at it's nasal best.

This has no relevance at but my dad had a leaflet fired at him while holding back the Commie hords in Korea, the leaflet told him he was "A lakky of the imperialist yankee running dogs" when all the time he was a van driver from Charlton. I once asked him if he had any medals and he said he had the Korean Star and the UN medal but he the said these were medals for attending rather than doing anything fcuking stupid.

I've never known what 'lakky' meant. Doesn't sound like a compliment though

I always thought that "Lakky" was a misspronouncing of Lucky, but I never pay any atention to the lyrics so...
More interesting that Everything, but not one of my favorites from the album for me.

A Lakky Lady is a working class slut who frequented greasy spoon cafe's in the Peckham/Forest Hill area of South London...I made that up but it should be true!

I can clear this up straight from the horses mouth.
One of my pals asked Francis a couple of years ago at the meet and greet for one of his spoken word shows.
So.... lakky was a term used for a labourer, someone who does everything without complaining. So a lakky lady is someone you rely on who you love without compromise, not caring what she looks like.

Is the above 'lackey' not a yes man, a minion to someone above them?

according to the Cambridge Dictionary:
a servant or someone who behaves like one by obeying someone else's orders or by doing unpleasant work for them: "He treats us all like his lackeys."

Like I said my Dad was accused of being "a lackey of the imperialist Yankee running dogs". He would like to have graduated to a "servant of reactionary bourgeoisie forces and an enemy of the masses" but was only in Korea from 1951/52...not long enough for serious abuse.

Always liked this shame it wasn’t pulled out for Aquostic project. The lyrics probably not over pc but its very complimentary at the same time I suppose.
