36 Years Ago This Month...
"End Of The Road '84" was released on VHS / Laserdisc by VideoForm Music in November of 1984. "60 minutes of QUO Hits" / "14 Great Tracks in VHS Stereo and Beta Hifi"
The release was the best selling music video and hit Gold Sales Status. It would later be re-released by Channel 5 in 1986, after the company "VideoForm Music" had dissolved.
Enjoy!

I have a question what Quo concerts have been shot on film and not video? Marquee 72, Wembley 74 and Birmingham 1989 shot on film. Brum was shot on 16mm, not a clue about the other 2. Milton Keynes was shot on tape as Keith (Keef) MacMillan preferred to shoot on tape as it made the editing process a lot quicker compared to film.

Looking at the cameras used they don't seem to have space for a reel. I thought that was shot con video too (despite the widescreen format), but I'm not an expert so it can be, yes.

It's false widescreen also, as the black bars were added to the bottom and top... same goes for Live Alive Quo

The Birmingham N.E.C., December 1989 footage would look brilliant restored straight from the 16mm reels, along with using any footage from the 17th December pickups as bonus

That was what i was gonna say they would be silly not to completely restore the footage remaster it in HD or 4k make a new edit of and release it. But something i cant see them actually doing sadly.

Costs a fair bit to telecine film reels, and with their being tons of camera angles it would cost a pretty penny. If they had the original film to tape transfers a HD / 4K release could still be done just without the high price, albeit the tapes would still have to be digitised.

NEC 1989 and the Just Doing It gig could be remastered for Bluray.
The main gap is the string of vids not even on DVD yet - Live Alive, RTYD, NEC 1982, EOTR, Don't Stop.

Just Doin it is an awesome DVD. The editing and camerawork are by far the best of any Quo gig. The FF dvds in comparison really aren’t as good despite being far better gigs.

They spent a ton of money on that Birmingham 2006 show that was filmed, which is why it looks great. It's also on a format of digital tape that is really expensive to digitise.

I only saw that DVD on a FNAC once (and sadly, too expensive for a 13 year old boy back then). Who have the rights of that DVD? I can see the Pictures: Montreaux video anywhere for example. I assume that if it was filmed on digital tape, it can be re-released on blu-ray (in HD). Am I right?
