That's sad news. I never met him and only knew of his existence from the RTYD video; Rick calling out from a car " there's old Status". Something like that. RIP, Mr Hall. Did Rick not also say something like "Status just hit me" as he was getting on the bus at the SECC? Something like that!

Very sad news. He was Scottish ,enjoyed chating with him on the tube after a fanclub event. very likable fella
I met him a couple of times outside London gigs long long ago (so he mustve been living somewhere down south), clearly a Scot and mad as a true Quo fan! RIP Status. Sad to hear.

The only time that I saw him at a gig was at The Reading Rock festival 1987. RIP.

Sad to read this..i met him at Brixton Academy during the recording of the Don't Stop concert..had a chat..he was slightly pissed at the time..but a nice man. RIP Mr Status Quo (James Hall)

Yeah, he was Scottish but he'd relocated to Rochester in Kent.
