This is more of a sample I suppose and not exactly a cover, especially as Francis played on it I believe. But the best of the lot in my view. And a terrific video. That's actually damn good. Love how the riff from an uncommercial Quo number from early in their career gets picked up by a modern day rapper and transformed. Its heavy and rockin'. Kind of reminds me of what Puff Daddy did with Kashmir with Page on the Godzilla soundtrack. On the video itself, wouldn't it have been great to see at least one Quo video with creative visual art like this? Shame they never invested at least once. Francis appears briefly here and I can't help but think of how good 'You'll Come Round' would have looked with this gritty setting and video art work. Way cool vid.

tqontq, we are of the same mind when it comes to Quo videos. I've seen SO many fantastic ones over the years which actually grab your attention and enhance the music. The vast majority of Quo's have been "let's just have a laugh" jobs or a simple recreation of the band on stage, especially in the early days. The merest hint of seriousness about the art is always kicked into touch. The best by far for me has always been Accident Prone and, more recently, there's something a little bit different (and superbly shot) about Go Go Go. I remember I was at a Foo Fighters gig once and they had music videos playing on the big screens before they came on. Kasabian's Shoot The Runner came on and I immediately thought to myself, if only Quo did something like this occasionally. A video to grab you by the balls. It made me buy the music! Too expensive I guess. And, dare I suggest it, not fitting the profile

Here is a Greek band called Enstro who made their cover of Black Veils of Melancholy for the soundtrack of the 2009 film Plato's Academy. Hope you like it.

Heard this one first at a Dan Baird gig in Whitley Bay Dome many years ago. The roadie was sent out from back stage to the DJ s I guess he was asking who did this version. Dan is a Quo fan.

This might take some beating as far as bizarre Quo covers go:

Ha ha Gav, I think that's the winner of the most bizarre cover alright!!! What is it, 'Can't be Done', in Finnish, maybe.

Its bloody awful..played it twice. As john peel used to say, rap, 2 grown men shouting at each other

Some obscure Liverpool band covered Caroline but completely changed the lyrics. What were they thinking?! That they were bigger than Quo?!

Not sure if its classified as a cover or a sample of Caroline. But here it is anyway!
