Don't Waste My Time. Broken Man, as a follow up to Down Down, before the live ep was released, as there was a 6 month gap between Down Down ( Released Nov 74) & ROLD (Released May 75). Is There A Better Way (Live) should of been released as a taster from the Live Album. Rockers Rolling as a follow up to RAOTW. Who Asked You as the 3rd single from the, Whatever You Want album. Mountain Lady/Never To Late (double A side).

April Spring absolutely. Monster of a track. A truly great track. Guaranteed to be loved by old Quo fans. Like me (even though I discovered it pretty late.) Not sure how it would go down with the wider public. It's almost two chords and has a na na na chorus, but it isn't disco. This sent me on a train of thought to my vinyl locker, once I had cleared the piles of videos away from in front of it. A shuffle through reveals something interesting - either I don't have my own vinyl of Ma Kelly, or I've misfiled it. Probably the former, as early on I got a compilation of best tracks from MK and DOTH so I may not have bothered working back as far as Ma. This has serious consequences, and I say this to warn anyone who lacks vinyl and a means of playing it. What this means is ... I cannot play April Spring Summer and Wednesdays at 45 or 72 to see how it would sound as a disco track. You can't play cds at alternative speeds. They don't warn you about this ... no wonder vinyl is becoming fashionable again. People say it's because the sound quality is more authentic, etc., etc., and it looks nicer, but it's not - it's really so that you can play serious bands with squeaky voices. So someone else will have to do this. Does it sound anything like the Bee Gees? Meanwhile, I do have DOTH. What a beautiful cover that is ... I had forgotten. It's like a bulldog with two heads in an art deco landscape, and the guys all look so young, it's kind of sobering. I'd almost forgotten they ever were that young. (The POMM video doesn't count, they just looked like little men with dodgy 60s hairdos at that point.) Gatefold and all the lyrics on the back too. They don't do covers like that any more!

4500X .....album or better still live version Power of Rock ...... Was it a single ? My memory is struggling , but I can't remember hearing it on the radio I don't know. Fade the instrumental section at the end to make it a bit more radio-proof, release it as a video single with bits of performance and documentary cuts, particularly of RICK in his memory. I know Francis does the verse vocals, but they both wrote it and it's a powerful song.

Generally unpopular album as Perfect Remedy is, I find Power Of Rock one of the least appealing songs. The fact that it attempts to re-capture typical Quo yet sounds so 80's synthetic instead, adds to its incompatibility. Its like making an Italian ragout using Chinese sesame oil...
Many of the other songs on the album might sound thin and reedy, but like them or hate them, they don't sound contrived within the context of the album. And yes, with all that said - within the average fans perception of what Quo should like, this album was a large departure

Over and Done
For me the obvious choice, could've been a huge hit. Classy track & would've been radio friendly too. More recently Heavy Traffic was a massive missed opportunity.
