Considering my opinion on Andy Pearce's EQ, this seems OK to me. I've been waiting for this release for quite some time! Those 3 last tracks are a surprise. I didn't even know about those last two. It's just missing the single edit for Sherri Don't Fail Me Now. But most single edits haven't been released on the Deluxes.

Had a listen to the Thirsty Work preview. One thing I was really hoping for was a live version of, Soft in the Head, which for me is the only really good song on that album. Want to hear if it is improved by a live recording as opposed to the rather tame production on the album. Happy to see that it is there, and the clip sounds okay through my rubbish MP3 headphones on the laptop, so imagine will be better on my proper music system.
But where that is good, and live versions of Goin Nowhere, and Rude Awakening Time might be worth having. On the other hand a live version of Restless and the songs they did with Man Utd, I just shudder at the memories of those.

It's just missing the single edit for Sherri Don't Fail Me Now. But most single edits haven't been released on the Deluxes. Admittedly, edits have not been the top priority. Often it's because it would mean too many versions of the same song, so in this case I went for the extended version. Also, there has been talk of a complete singles collection, so maybe they'll all find a home there. Had a listen to the Thirsty Work preview. One thing I was really hoping for was a live version of, Soft in the Head, which for me is the only really good song on that album. On the other hand a live version of Restless and the songs they did with Man Utd, I just shudder at the memories of those. I admit I had mixed feelings about those tracks too, but then again "Come On You Reds" was Quo's second and last #1 single. Considering that, I found it odd that it was rather rare, and it's from the era. They could've gone on Don't Stop or FITLC too, as they're covers of Quo songs (in a way), but I don't even know whether these albums will get deluxed. I do wish I'd been brave enough to suggest a 3CD for TW too, because that would've allowed the inclusion of a full live set. Oh well.

I noticed that the Roadhouse Medley says Roadhouse Blues is the first track, but the first part of Roadhouse Blues isn't on the original video. Is this a printing error? It's a bit stupid to have the first 3 tracks from the NEC on 1 disc and the rest on the 2nd disc, I wouldn't play any of the tracks on disc 2 anyway except the live tracks so I guess when I buy it I'll make my own NEC 2CD with more tracks on disc 1. It wouldn't all fit onto 1 disc, so it had to be spread across Disc 2 & 3... and that is because the audio from the 17th December gig was going to be used originally What about Roadhouse Blues? Was the Knebworth 90 gig ever considered for these releases or at least the Knebworth 90 tracks that were on the Knebworth album?

Had a look at them on Amazon, and was interested to see the description of Rock ‘Til You Drop containing the following sentence – “Regarded by some as the band’s best album since Piledriver the album contains a re-recorded version of the quo classic Forty-Five Hundred Times which is over three minutes longer then the Hello original.”
