I've seen them twice this year in Germany and on both nights the crowd loved the show. The things you have to take into consideration are that it was wasn't a 1970s Hammersmith Ode hardcore crowd, it was a pretty much casual, middle-aged to older crowd and as someone who's been playing gigs in Germany for over 40 years the behaviour was exactly what I'd expect, especially nowadays. Germans are more reserved at gigs than Brits, always have been. You should've been at the Tears for Fears gig in Bruchsal! This was probably the most enthusiastic crowd I've been a part of so far... unbelievable. (Of course it was also a slightly younger crowd than at most rock concerts I've been to, since TFF are an 80s band instead of a 70s one.) Anyway, I'm curious to see the "new" Quo line-up in September...

Watching TFF this Friday. Although it'll be a part racecourse crowd as well. So not hard-core TFF and plenty of casuals!

Really enjoyed Tears For Fears! Knew more of their tracks than I could remember. Good stuff for this casual.

As for the band line up the musical fulcrum of Quo was always John Coghlan, not Rick. I suppose by the standards of many people on here they should have folded when he was fired. I disagree.Alan was the music fulcrum Of Quo, and it’s what’s still missing all these years later Cheers Yep.

I disagree, all four of them were part of the fulcrum and when JC left it changed somewhat. Fulcrum... the point of rest. IMO it was Lancaster/ Coghlan. Rick must’ve revelled in it. Exactly so.
