Comparing it to the Livestream download I have of it, the audio is the same mix as that and hasn't been touched by anyone from the Quo camp or hired hands. Only thing different is a few camera angles... less crowd shots Edit; Just noticed that during the intro to Softer Ride, Richie doesn't use Chorus like good ol' Ricky Parfitt did and it sounds so shit without it

Let me add something to that...at the risk of some people maybe finding it negative, but that's not the way I mean it. But when I see something like the above clip it just makes me sad to see a once so fantastic band sunken so deep. Anyone can call that negativity all they want, but this is nothing at all like what They once used to be. It's nothing more then a tribute band now and not a very good one at it either, I actually prefer Predatur a lot more !. It may sound negative but that's simply what I feel about it all. It just makes me sad. But Oh well, it has been going on for quite some time already... life continues and all that... but one's connection with a band can be a powerful thing...

I’ve just watched it and I make no apology for saying I really enjoyed it.
I think there is a misconception amongst some people that if you enjoy the current line up then you have forgotten how good Rick was.
Not true in my case.
The dvd could have done with the crowd noise being mixed better into the overall sound- it lacks a bit of atmosphere that way.
But overall I enjoyed this performance

Listened to the Wacken album...
This will more than likely come back to bite me in the arse. It's not meant as an attack on anything or anyone, just how I view it.
Performance wise, it's perfectly fine. Great standard of performance.
However, it sounds so watered down, soulless and devoid of any sort of emotion or passion, it's like listening to the music in an elevator
If you truly want to know how good Rick really was and what he gave to the band, listen to this album. I think Richie Malone sounds dreadful. I honestly cringed at the intro to HYB and WYW.
As I said, I'm fully aware I'll get picked apart for that. Maybe not on here but, his mate(s) will rip me to shreds on social media. However, it's something I believe to be true and what I hear and I'm not in the business of lying....
Welcome to the real world guys... While I am absolutely disgusted the name Status Quo is being dragged along like this, that's just due to my emotional, historical investment and attachment to the band that was and the music. Vast majority I'm sure don't give a fuck and more power to them.
Happy weekend

Aren't trailers supposed to make you want to buy the product they're advertising? Because that did the complete opposite. Not one bit of excitement in that trailer at all, consists of angles of Francis, Rhino (looking gormless as ever), and very distant shots of the crowd

Now that Rick's conveniently out of the picture, Francis is designated spokesperson for the band. And my what crap he talks. Wacken like no other festival? Isn't it "just another gig"? (quote, Francis Rossi, 2018)
