It amuses me, all these people who supported fake Quo after Alan was knifed by Rick and Francis now thinking it’s no longer Status Quo.
I remember how people defended them playing Backwater a few years ago. It was a sham then.

Interesting set, as Francis will regard it as tempting for the hardcore. It's certainly a better set of songs than in a long while.
I think it's a miscalculation, as most once diehard fans seem to have packed it in. I just don't want to see them without Rick, and in truth didn't want "Quo lite" once I saw the FF.
The name SQ still pulls in punters due to the hits. There's loads of hits they could play but don't - I think they should replace all album tracks with hits. Be a genuine hits band. I think they could tour that for as long as they could do it.
Hope that those on here that go in future have a great time

Who sings Backwater? If Rhino, then it's not singing and it's nothing but complete hypocrisy from the guy given what he has said about Alan. Just saw somebody say it is Rhino singing Backwater ffs

Just saw somebody say it is Rhino singing Backwater ffs Dear god, they have a chance to take a step forward and if that's true squander it on someone who couldn't carry a tune in a grocery bag when they have Richie who clearly can sing.

I think they could tour that for as long as they could do it. The problem though is that the hits they don't play but could are derivative and too one-paced, i.e. Lies, Dear John, Going Down Town Tonight, Rollin' Home. And when you look at "hits" from the 90s, there's Rock Til You Drop, Restless, Twenty Wild Horses, but they weren't hits. If it's ballads/slow songs you want, POMM, IMC, LOAI, RNR and MT fit the bill, but they can't all be put in the set at once, otherwise you'd have a middle section that would be a total bore. The likes of Backwater, SR, BFM and The Oriental are at least unique and diverse. The fact of the matter is that CQ have released just TWO hits that could claim to be these things and they are You'll Come Round and Red Sky. CQ shot themselves in the foot by releasing the same type of single time and time again and they're paying the price for it.

@deepthroat I think it could be done. Ones in brackets are how they could freshen up for future dates.
Caroline Lies (or Dear John) Dustpipe
Wild Side of Life - full version with proper intro! Again and Again Mess of Blues (or SYBIL or Wanderer) Rock n Roll (or LOAI)
Rain (or DDMC) Proposin Ole Rag Blues (or In My Chair) Break The Rules - full version (or ROLD) MT (or Jam Side Down) Whatever You Want Paper Plane Down Down Army Mystery Song - album version in full
Bridges (or AW) RAOTW

Just had a thought. I'll most likely never see Status Quo again, in whatever form. Weird. Lots like me i'm sure.
