The template for performing Quo songs is the original recording. The performance can be based on live audio/video.
Here's an idea for an experiment.
You get a studio where all the gear is set up. Divide up the room into 4 sections.
You get the FR from one tribute band, RP, AL and JC all from different tribute bands in their own sections.
Nobody can see any other band members and nobody knows who it might be on the other side of the screen.
The challenge is that the song they have to play is revealed simultaneously to all band members and they play. Standard tuning of guitars would be a prerequisite.
For example if it was 'Rollover lay down' the drummer would count them in. Or if it was 'Caroline' the rhythm guitar would start.
So how good would the performance be?
I reckon that it would be pretty good because of the template I mentioned.
