I know quite many people who have Mystery song or Rain or Ring of a change as their favorite from BFY...but for me it's this one. I absolutely love this song to bits !

It took me quite a few years to get it but suddenly one day I realised that it's an absolute gem of a song! Easily always on my Quo top twenty, every now and then even on my top ten. Brilliant song with a brillant groove!

I agree with both of you. Its also an all-time Quo favourite for me as well. A must-play to any Quo detractor!

I just had to ad it to my "dream setlist" in the Frantic Four thread, shamed to say that I totally forgot it when I first wrote that setlist, but now it really IS a dream setlist for the next reunion!
I haven´t clocked this, but I guess it will be around 90 minutes:
1. Nightride 2. Someone´s Learning 3. Backwater 4. Just Take Me 5. A Reason For Living 6. Don´t Think it Matters 7. Claudie 8. That's a Fact 9. Railroad (with Bob) 10. Lonely Man 11. Mystery Song (album version) 12. I Saw the Light 13. Roll Over Lay Down 14. Big Fat Mama 15. Slow Train 16. Roadhouse Blues (with Bob, and with the jig) encore: 17. Junior´s Wailing (with intro as the 1976 Live album) 18. Softer Ride 19. Blue Eyed Lady 20. Bye Bye Johnny (with correct intro and full solo, not the shitty 2014-version)

I know quite many people who have Mystery song or Rain or Ring of a change as their favorite from BFY...but for me it's this one. I absolutely love this song to bits ! BFY is an album that I have intentionally not gotten into much yet. The reason is that Quo's backlist is so overwhelming when approached as a whole, that is, when everything they have ever done is brand new and equal to you, that appreciating it takes a more methodical approach. However, now that I've digested most of the FF backlog, it's time for BFY, WYW, JS and NTL, all of which are on the way. This song is one of those weird Quo songs that I don't like the first time I hear it, and there's a lot of them, that suddenly blossom and I realize they're a favorite. Very strange, this has never happened with another group. Accident Prone is an example of this, or Drifting Away. Hated them when I first heard them, now I know them by heart.
