One of my problems with these types of ratings is how are we measuring this? Is it measured against other bands, or just against Quo? Because against other bands even the lesser Quo albums rate very highly, whereas against themselves there is a natural order based on personal preferences. In this scenario, where we are clearly working through the Quo albums in sequence, I exclude thoughts of other artist/albums as sorting the Quo albums into order is sufficiently complicated for me without that added complication. But each to their own, I suppose. Fair enough, that's how I've been doing it, just wanted to verify.

Wham! What an intro. One drum beat! We're here - enough said. ROLD | 10/10 | Claudie | 9/10 | Reason for Living | 9/10 | Blue Eyed Lady | 10/10 | Caroline | 9/10 | Softer Ride | 10/10 | And It's Better Now | 9/10 | 4500 Times | 10/10 |
Not my favourite Quo album but not far off. Averaging 9.5/10

It starts with Roll Over Lay Down, one of my all-time favourite Quo songs. And it ends with my Quo anthem, 4500 Times. And then there is Caroline, the song that got me into Quo all those years ago. These three alone would be reason enough to make Hello! a top album. And Reason for Living, sung by Rick in his Boys' Choir voice. Claudie is a great tune, too, as is And It's Better Now. Then there is the fantastic Softer Ride. Blue Eyed Lady is brilliant, but I think it sounds a bit thin on record and much livelier live. It's a brilliant album. To me, it's pure Quo. 10/10.

would be better with loads of keyboards and an accordion involved. You may regret saying that when we get the remix & all those hidden facets are highlighted!

For me the benchmark is the Live album at a 10 , so as Hello doesn't quite top it, it comes in with a 9.5 for me . The album cover is a classic and if my daughter wasn't getting a 5SOS T-shirt printed ,I would have done a black Tee with shiny black print of the cover on it. No dad! should have gone back and done it later without her!!
