Most people who love Star Wars have the nostalgia benefit of having seen it as a kid and being so excited. Give it a go, I guess it's one of those 'classic' films, like Jaws or Godfather, that you really need to see.

I may as well give it a go.

Yeah they're great. Although, be warned, Star Wars: A new hope hasn't aged well at all and The Phantom Menance is pure shite.
There is a new order of watching them, that is actually better and enjoyable. Plus, it cuts out the phantom menace. Its called the machete order.
A New Hope (Episode 4) Empire Strikes Back (Episode 5) Attack Of The Clones (Episode 2) Revenge Of The Sith (Episode 3) Return Of The Jedi (Episode 6)
Whatever about the series, it's undisputed that Empire Strikes Back is actually one of the best films of all time
If you can get past the horrible acting and cheesy dialogue of A New Hope, you're sorted

I'll probably give it a go as it's the original lineup I watched The Phantom Menace but thought it was more of a cartoon with all that CGI. As a result, I have never watched either of the subsequent two.

Hi All, QQ, If your into Sci-Fi you'll love Star Wars, If I was you I would watch out of sequence Ep's 4-5-6 then watch the prequel Ep's 1-2-3, if you watch the prequels first it may put you off 4-5-6 and these films are the true Star Wars films that started the whole franchise and are clearly the best of the lot.
It's a bit like the CQ vs FF argument and you know all the crap that causes.. Of course it's all down to personal taste as to which film you like best but many agree that the original episode's are by far the way better films than the prequels. This is why their is so much expectation around the latest film Episode.7.The Force Awakens and so far judging by reports from the film Set/Actors and the Trailers etc, it is all on course to be the true follow on film after Episode.6. The Return Of The Jedi. that fans really wanted the prequels to be.

Haha,I'll keep that in mind. I heard the prequels weren't so great compared to the originals but I'll probably end up watching them regardless.

Nobody really can comment on them without watching them, if anything else just to know what all the fuss was about......

Be the same really I would have thought A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back obviously shows up to the you know what(don't wanna spoil it on the OP) Attack Of The Clones and ROTS act as flashbacks to show how it happened ROTJ acts as the conclusion to the whole thing. Also, no Phantom Menace
