FF would have been awesome at download
But it wasn't a Quo audience
I honestly don't know what a rock festival crowd would make of the ff sets we had. I reckon they'd win new fans plenty but not sure how well such an unfamiliar set would go down - a concern (I'm sure) not lost on Francis and management

Porter wasn't having that. The FF at Donington would have been immense. CQ were brilliant though

Porter wasn't having that. The FF at Donington would have been immense. CQ were brilliant though Not sure that's it, although perhaps... I reckon it's about money and risk CQ can do the festival circuit, including rock and metal ones....with little or no health worry. And get paid. FF could do the same, no doubt, and probably do considerably better at the rock/metal ones. But doubts would be real about health issues (Alan). There may well be increased costs (insurance) The other concern....how would the FF set go down with a non-rock festival crowd? I think FF would need to put some more 12gb hits in there. Financially....I don't think there's more money to be made from touring than CQ already get. And that means more money for Rick and Francis. FF would sell more albums, but few bands make money from that now. Although I don't like it, this analyses holds true for a hard working CQ working the treadmill. A fresh analyses by the two owners of SQ and it's management will be required soon enough. And for that reason, there is still hope
