I loved Talking Heads and I had that on video. No doubt its in a loft or a garage somewhere. Great to see David Byrne looking so well. Better than he'd look if he'd stayed in Dumbarton A very talented and funny man, I put this up a while back when it was Tina Weymouth's birthday but I'm doing it again. Coz it's fabulous, right?

Sadly, the only time I saw them they were a bit underwhelming. This was at Birmingham Odeon in '79 - just one of those nights, I suppose.

I never got to see them. I get the impression the stage show had developed by the mid-80's.
But, yeah, maybe just one of those nights.

Saw Talking Heads with the Ramones at The Brunel Rooms in Swindon in May '77.
Great gig, I'm am a big fan of the NYC scene around that time, these two, The Dead Boys, Richard Hell and Voidoids, early Blondie and Television.
I still play them all regularly, some every day!!

I never got Television. I tried Marquee Moon. Several times. Because the music papers told me it was genius. Music columns still do. Alas, it was lost on me. Although, to be fair, maybe it was just the vocals which I found unlistenable. The music wasn't bad at all. Kudos for catching Talking Heads that early though 👍
