Me & Mrs Mortified toyed with the idea of seeing the band in Moscow or St Petersburg but the costs were prohibitive. I think the Icelandic volcanic dust cloud intervened as well so we were quite glad we didn't go in the end.
Not sure what year that was. 2010 presumably.
Not Francis's favourite place, although I think Rhino and Andy said they loved it.

I'm guessing bootleg recordings of the Moscow '88 shows don't exist, I've never seen any that's for sure.

I can guarantee non of the gig goers were Quo fans - as Rossi says they were just happy that music from "the west" was coming in for them to enjoy. I've never heard much about that '88 leg of shows, besides these new clips from the interview with Rossi for Hello Quo There's that brief bit of footage on YouTube of them playing RAOTW, with the lyrics changed to Running. (Russia 1988 small documentary)

Isn't there film of Quo performing Come Rock With me/Rockin' On in Russia? I'm sure I remember seeing that somewhere but I don't know what year it was. Presumably later than 1988.
Maybe they played Russia more than I think they did.

Wish they still played it

In the One to One video, Rick talks about the early Russian tour. Somewhere around the 10.20 mark I think

The moscow shows for the time were unique as Russia was still behind the iron curtain Pink Floyd played a gig there in 1989 as well. But what other unique places have Quo played at?

Edit: I will say that I'm quite surprised Quo's gig in Yugoslavia went ahead in 1986, as it was 3 days after the Chernobyl accident.
