I'm going on my birthday. Wednesday 1st March, but if a meet up is going to be arranged, I would gladly go again. Belated Happy Birthday kursaal75 ! How was the exhibition? Kursaal exhibited himself?

i went on Saturday. If you are in London, go. I personally wouldnt make the effort to travel into London just for this. Apologies to the organisers as I felt a little underwelmed.

Thanks for letting us know. I'm not actually surprised because it is free. All the good exhibitions I've seen in recent years, like the ones on Bowie and Pink Floyd at the V&A, were all paying shows organised by big institutions. I'm amazed that we have one at all. And its thanks to Yvonne and Paul Hanvey of the Quo Fan club and record collector Andy Campbell that we have this show at all. I'm looking forward to going before it ends.

I went on Saturday. Well worth a visit. Do they allow photos to be taken? Still trying to sort out a trip!

How long did it take to the view whole exhibit? When i went to the Pink Floyd one at the V&A a few years ago i was in there for a good 2 hours

I recently went to this massive exhibition on graffiti at the Saatchi Gallery.
If you remember the 80s well, the flyers, the art work, the record covers etc of that era, they had walls covered with these details. My friend was transfixed by all that. But it wasn't my favourite era at all, so I skipped on by to enjoy the graffiti art and installations. btw - that show costs £25
I think the Quo show will be like the walls element of Beyond the Streets shows. Lots of art work and stuff for a trip down memory lane. And it will take to view, as long as you're interested in.

I went there yesterday. It was my birthday and we'd originally planned to go to the south coast for a couple of nights, but the poor weather changed everything at the last minute and we had to come up with something to do that was local and indoors. Its not a massive exhibition, but it was good to see some of the memorabilia. To be honest, I haven't had much interest in Quo since Rick died, so it was a bit underwhelming - if it had been 15 years ago, I would have loved it. My wife heard one of the librarians telling another punter that Francis had been due to attend on an agreed date to do a signing for fans, but he pulled out when he became double-booked (yeah right! ). She also heard the same librarian saying that a famous singer from a famous band had attended a short while ago, but she can't remember the name of the band or singer! Thank you wife! It was a free exhibition, so I can't really moan....the £66 price tag for a modest lunch at the pub in St Pancras station was plenty to moan about though! And I'm used to London prices!!!

I've still to go and I'm running out of time. Thing is, from Edinburgh and with the direct trains to Kings Cross, we could do it in a day fairly easily. Although chances are we'd stay over; just make a night of it.
Mrs Mortified isn't very well and we're waiting on scan results, so planning anything isn't easy at the moment. But hopefully we'll get there 👍

" Well Brian Mrs M felt a twinge so we sent her off for a scan. She should be fit for the trip to London but it's just a precaution, she was great in midweek and we've no other option but to keep her going, Mrs M's don't come along everyday you know....Brian"
