Just read that.
Was aware of him from Dr Feelgood days gone by, but became a fan following his fantastic support slot at the FF gigs. Unique talent.

Sad news, although he got several extra years under his belt after that cancer diagnosis. Saw him just once, in The Cricketers pub in London in September '86, where he put on a fantastic show. May he rest in peace.

A true icon in his Feelgood days. And also with Ian Dury of course. Fortunate enough to get the chance to see him with Dr Feelgood a couple of times in the mid-70's, just as they were making their name. He did remarkably well to survive this long. He was literally given months and set off on a final tour. That was years ago! RIP to yet another legend

Very sad to hear that a true original has gone but I'm so glad he got to live those unexpected last years to the absolute full. His album with Roger Daltrey is a true masterpiece, who would have thought that such a strange pairing would lift both their performances back to their absolute peak?

An inspired choice on the second FF reunion tour. Just brilliant to watch - you didn't want to take your eyes off him.

I remember him as being nuts. He deserved his extra time! (He beat my dad by a couple of years, too.)

Norman Watt-Roy, with the “face from outer space” is such a fabulous bass player! I’d not heard that before. Very, very good.

Aw, no ... I found his story, and over coming cancer so inspiring. So sad that he's gone now. I did wonder, earlier this year when he had to cancel gigs in the summer. So pleased I saw him play twice at those 2014 Frantic Four gigs. Thanks for all the great music, along with your band.

I bought that album back in 2014 or there abouts. Love this track too.

So sad to hear this news. I missed his time with Dr Feelgood. By the time I saw them Wilko's replacement Gypie Mayo was in the band, still a great band though. Wilko & his excellent rhythm section so impressed me on the Reunion tour gig where I saw them that I went to see them again at one of their own gigs some time later. Very glad I did too.
