Obviously not great quality but it's amazing how anyone managed to film anything back then when there were no mobile phones. Must have been a hand-held cine camera or something. In the UK, they never even used to let you in with a Kodak Instamatic. Had to sneak those in. And the pics were hopeless even from the front row Francis looked truly menacing on stage in those days. He owned it. Imagine an entire gig surfacing from any time between 1973 and 1979? The earlier the better. And cleaned up and given an official release. Aaaaand....back in the room

mortified, I find it incredible that there is no professional footage of a whole concert from the 1973-1979 era, apart from the black and white Madrid film that has a huge part of the gig. When you think that AC/DC, Slade, T Rex and many others that were less popular than Quo at the time were filmed,it seems incredible that there is nothing out there!

But the old films of many of those acts are only just beginning to surface, so you just never know. YouTube has had a huge impact in uncovering rare footage. The problem then would be persuading the release of a budget to get them cleaned up and put out there. But I won't hold my breath I read somewhere that many very famous acts have no half decent film footage of their gigs from the 70's in particular. Pink Floyd, I think, being one of them. Because, basically, no one saw the video age coming.

it's just a brief bit of Roll Over Lay Down and Rockers Rollin Do you have a link to the clip? I can't share it, sorry. An archival company just sent a viewing copy with instruction of it not to be shared. The only time I could see it being shared is if it was a part of a documentary - and I don't see anymore of those in Quos future. There's also 8mm footage of them playing in New York in 1972

Aaaaand....back in the room I know you're all about the music rather than members, but you're completely right, and at the reunions there was a bit of a return to that swagger. Frame, Spud, Nuff, Rick. Greater than the sum of their parts.
