Right place. Thanks for posting. Fair account of Alan's career and a moving tribute to him.

"Lancaster had wanted Rossi to add some guitar and vocals to a handful of his new songs, for which Parfitt had recorded rhythm guitar parts before his death, and Coghlan played drums. The project was referred to as PLC (Parfitt, Lancaster, Coghlan). Rossi declined the request. Still rallying for further Frantics activity, Lancaster pushed things just a little too far with Rossi during a Boxing Day phone call, and the pair never spoke again since."
Two stubborn auld buggers!

Two stubborn auld buggers!Very true. I can see Francis's point though. Let's call it PLC with no 'R' and you can add some bits and pieces. Basically, with Francis on board in any way shape or form, it would have been the FF.

A lovely tribute to Alan. Wonderful that his name and legacy is brought to light again after his passing. We still yearn for the past when we had our Quo with Alan being a full quarter of that and then some.
Memories can be both sad and pleasurable at the same time. We have to let things go but admittedly it is hard to let Quo go, at least the Quo we all loved with a passion and grew up on. Its funny huh, no matter how long we had with Quo it just never seemed enough.

We never truly experienced what it was really like

A Quo gig, particularly in the 70's, was an amazing experience. Unfortunately, never captured properly on film other than odd songs here and there. And, ironically, maybe that contributes in some small way to the legend 👍

And so heavy even Alan didn't dare to touch it.
