Only $550 to get that box set shipped out to Sydney. A bargain

iirc, the first ever correspondence that I had with Universal was me complaining about the appalling "Live At The N.E.C." 2017. How they got that release SO wrong is beyond me. If they'd have taken one look into their own archives, they would have seen that they have a full copy of the show. Really it should have been given the Super Deluxe treatment and had both nights at the N.E.C. remixed and included the Glasgow Apollo radio broadcast - but no. The 'Live!' super deluxe release could have been properly expanded with all 3 nights in Glasgow, and the full Tokyo Quo show (as it exists). I will continue to try my best with these releases, but I can only push so much. Heavy Traffic should have been full of demos, as well as the live show, but we know what happened there... Still wondering why RPJ hasn't pulled together a release of Recorded Delivery... The furthest he went was getting the original mix of 'Halloween' to close 'Over And Out', as opposed to the B-Side Remix from 'Who Gets The Love?'. I think the only Deluxe Edition that I'm somewhat well and truly proud of is "Rock 'til You Drop". I could quite have easily taken the "it's too late to add anything else to the tracklisting" and left it barren, but I pushed back and got more tracks added from each show. It could have been better, had I been involved from the start. Still hate that I put "The Price Of Love" in the wrong order, but oh well. Enjoy! Not at all, I’m not having you being hard on yourself there. The RTYD deluxe is brilliant and the fact we got unreleased tracks from the RTYD event on there like Let’s Work Together, The Price of Love etc was so appreciated 👍 The initial listing (a bit of insider info here ) - Sheffield; Mystery Medley (Rain was left in accidentally on the reference disc, which led to me requesting this to be kept) Glasgow; Rock 'til You Drop Down Down Roll Over Lay Down Let's Work Together In The Army Now Birmingham; Little Lady Whatever You Want Wembley; - for some reason, the documentary audio was initially used for this show before they switched to the full show copies Rockin' All Over The World Burning Bridges Bye Bye Johnny Paper Plane, Rain, The Price Of Love, In The Army Now (Brum), The Anniversary Waltz were all very last minute additions and were well needed. Sheffield and Brum shows were massively under-represented on the original listings

I was at the Sheffield gig so I totally appreciated The tracks from that gig. Not heard them since 1991!

Since I didn't know what they actually had available and the setlists were also not easy to find at that point except for Glasgow, my suggestions were based on what I knew had to exist, i.e. the VHS. But I always told them that I only mentioned the stuff I definitely knew existed; this was a repeat miscommunication.

Really, if they're expecting people outside of Universal to do the job then they should supply them with an archive list - but I suppose they have to be careful who they pass stuff out to due to leaks. I asked them after the 1982 / Back To Back / Army / Complaining deluxe set for a copy of any archival doc they had. It wasn't massively up-to-date, and they'd decided to completely re-enter it all into their system in 2017 so there was hardly anything of major interest on there for the next set (PR / RTYD / TW)

I don't own any Quo CDs anymore so getting them in box sets would be great, but as has been said, they aren't likely anytime soon.
