Hey rockonquo, I saw George Thorogood last and he can still dish it out for a great gig. First time I saw him was back in ‘81 and he played for 2 1/2 hours and didn’t want to leave…. the drummer and bass finally walked off and roadie’s had started pulling things apart while George still played on! He was finally dragged off😂 ( I can’t believe that was 41 years ago!!) Though age has certainly caught up with him, he still can rock n roll when he wants to along with all that swagger of his. He now has a lead guitarist to help out but George puts his stamp on his classic songs. You’ll have a great night out mate.

This will be my first Thorogood concert and i've followed his music for years now. Time does fly by mate, speaking of dates, book in 1st December at your local cinema. There's a 3 hour doco movie on The Angels called 'Kickin' Down The Door' coming out. Should be KICK ARSE hearing ANGELS tunes on a cinema, & rare footage of the late Doc Neeson. indaily.com.au/inreview/film/2022/10/20/film-festival-review-the-angels-kickin-down-the-door/

Just remember… ‘one bourbon, one scotch, one beer!’👍 Hey Gaz, i almost forgot to ask, who are the support band? It's a 3 piece and there were a couple of pretty good songs especially the bluesey one towards the end. I just didn't catch their name. By the way re: the Angels movie Kicking Down The Door....how can I find out when it's being released nationally and which cities?

Hey Gaz, what a brilliant night! George was in fantastic form and the setlist was full of classics, tried to get a setlist put failed but did get a t shirt. What a venue too, Anitas theatre rocks, it was LOUD too. It was a definte sell out, no empty seats anywhere. Time for a One bourbon, One scotch & one beer & i drink alone.

Yes, ‘ol George certainly knows how to work an audience with all his classic set list. Great sense of humour as well. Regarding Anita’s Theatre I’m pretty sure John Coghlans Quo were meant to play there before his Aussie tour was canned. Looks a fantastic venue and love to get there one day. Did you enjoy the support band?

I caught the last two songs of the support band one of them was introduced as a David Bowie song but don't know what song it was, but they were good. The guitar player came back on with George & band for the encore playing Born To Be Bad. George also said Mick & Keith are his music hero's and look up to. Anita's is a great venue and the sound was great too, it was a roller skating rink a while ago.

Awesome can’t wait to see it. First time I saw them back in ‘78 at Chequers Night Club in Sydney… very small crowd, but man did those crowds get bigger by the month. Saw them plenty of times and still my favourite Aussie band. Sensational live band.👍

Sensational live band.👍 You're are legend, discovered the Angels when Live line came out 1988 and saw them for the first time at the Hordern Pavillion on the Beyond Salvation tour with Cheap Trick. Seen them many times since then and met them a couple times too with autographs on some records and cds. Haven't watched them since Doc died, might one day tho before the Brewster's retire.
