I mean, in the original announcement post about this tour it literally said John was retiring. Why are they back peddling all of a sudden. There was a "thread" on facebook before were someone had posted a screenshot of said announcement stating that John was retiring, and the whole post seems to have been removed now... I wonder why  Edit: "As many of you already know, JCQ will be playing their Farewell Tour this year to mark John’s retirement" - first line on the original facebook post for the tour. People have been wishing him well and it's a "well deserved retirement" since February, and they've only now decided to clear it up and say he is in fact "NOT" retiring. |

I'm discussing the sudden back peddling from John & Gillie (and whoever else in charge of the facebook page) about him retiring, even though the initial post from 6 months ago mentioned John retiring. They've had all of this time to "correct the misassumptions" but have left it until now. |

Maybe he's decided to go blonde(ish) again and re-record Organised Crime more digitally As I understood it, John had one or two physical issues with drumming, probably through decades of wear and tear. Although I have no idea of the details. So I imagine he's retiring from being a drummer. Or at least in a live setting. Whatever it is he does, I wish him well and enjoyment at it. I retired in 2016 but I still seem to be working! Got to find something to do with your day. Apart from pi$$ about on here that is |

In a recent interview I heard a couple of months ago, he was going to collaborate with a jazz musician. I'd have to look back through my posts to remind myself of the details.
