I was at Wembley with my daughter for the Euro final. What a fabulous day that was. It was great to see The Lionesses celebrating with Rockin' over the Tannoy. Great atmosphere and will never forget it. I doubt very much that Gabby L was having a pop at Quo, a bit of over-thinking by some folk I fear. Football songs/chants etc are full of oldies as such. In fact current Arsenal fans have incorporated 'Saka and Emilie Smith-Rowe' into a sing-a-long version of Rockin'. Gabby did at least know it was Status Quo! Newcastle FC are still playing Mark Knopfler's 'Going Home -Local Hero' over the Tannoy just before kick-off. "Newcastle FC are still playing Mark Knopfler's 'Going Home -Local Hero' over the Tannoy just before kick-off." They've changed it "I'm going to sports wash that blood right out of my harem"

Suprised Newcastle are not playing this song before kick off Received the 'The Ragpicker's Dream' CD many Xmas's ago from dear ol' Santa (what a guy). Have a real soft spot for that album. An emotional connection that I didn't see coming.
