42 in album chart currently The Batsignal is not quite in focus for Status Quo fandom. I'm looking at it as a compilation of 21st Century Status stuff. You could probably mention a more superior compilation for that. (Or just buy the reissues). That Status Quo The Ultimate Collection recently went quite cheaply. I feel that really helped it's chart presence.

I still go back to it and think that there are strong tracks or important tracks not on there , as well as true rareities.
I know space is limited …..I’d have dropped Electric Arena, Mortified, Acquostic Down Down, Bula Bula Quo, I’ll Never Get Over You and Raining in my Heart and Temprary Friend. In place I’d have had Heavy Traffic, Go Go Go, You’ll Come Round, Dust to Gold, Driving To Glory , Obstructuon Day and I Ain’t Wasting My Time. Could make a case for Creepin Up and Oriental, given their importance to the live set over the years too.

Heavy Traffic tracks and You'll Come Round are UMG tracks; they could not be used here, unless earMUSIC wants to pay extra to license them. I don't know who owns Driving To Glory and Obstruction Day, though. UMG owned Fighting With The Pack when Rockers Rollin' was released, I think, since it appeared on that compilation. Driving To Glory, Analyse Time and Obstruction Day were released as B-sides for Eagles Records singles. So they should belong to earMUSIC. I don't know. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Does anyone know if ALL the tracks have been remastered, remixes aside? Anyone? I'll do my comparisons during the next couple of days and will post here.

Well that sums up everything that was wrong with Quo in one nice package!! God, its awful.
Sorry, but who puts these compilations together? Whilst the band produced so much inferior music over the first 2 decades of this century, there has also been a reasonable amount of good, solid rock music. A lot of it I enjoy. Its just hard to focus on the good stuff as there was a lot of poor material. Fair enough.
However, for a complication here much of it is their weaker, bland numbers that fill the track listing. Running through the whole album here, as far as more unfamiliar numbers are concerned, it is only Rossi's lead break on Tilting at the Mill that I enjoyed. The rest...well, shouldn't have seen the light of day.
A terrible album compilation that could have been SOOOOOOOO much better if they really focused on quality.

I seem to remember on the old board Cammy you had a soft spot for driving to glory and the madness? Crazy to think that’s over 20 years ago we’ve all been talking about Quo.

Incidentally, do we know what the "live medley" (track 16) is and where it's taken from? Mystery Medley from Liverpool Pops 2005.

Well I can’t remember the last time I bought a physical album tbh
You probably have to sell less than 500-1000 to be 12 in the physical charts I would think
The digital downloads of this album must be in the low hundreds

I remember playing Driving To Glory to one of my non Quo fan pals and he thought it was a 70s track at first due to the fact it was rocking with loads of guitars . Always felt it was wasted as a bonus track - it would have been great had it been held over for Heavy Traffic although it proved not possible to do that . Where does the time go though ?! Twenty years has gone by in a flash
