I seem to remember that there was another version of Diggin Burt Bacharach with a different title and completely different lyrics.

pointless doing the album versions as the single versions are much better, and I didn't want dupes of tracks for the sake of it. Not really pointless, as they need a proper mastering. And I thought these Deluxes would be for collectors as well. This. I hate the single remixes because of the mastering. The first time I heard them properly were when I bought the Picture Disc versions. Because of the amount of clipping I thought the needle would skip all the record, but also I thought "This must be because of the picture", then I heard the digital versions and I thought "Well, that's it. Never again.".

I have also I don’t remember Anymore (lead vocals by Andy) and a couple of alternate mixes, mostly fan made! Rhino mentioned a demo with Rick for Creeping Up on You, so it seems there are Demos for all tracks lying in someone’s vaults. Creepin' Up On You demo does exist and was up on YouTube briefly before being taken down due to an error. Can also be heard on the Rock on... and on

Both of these are much longer on the master copies YCR - 3:48 TOY - 4:42 Yep, but not only these two, I suspect. These demos were on Bob Young's website and it was only a snippet (like those two). So I suspect most of them have a larger version. The ones already officially release are excluded, of course, since those are already released in their complete form, I believe. Thanks for sharing the times! Would be cool to have them properly released.

And there was one for Belavista Man as well, on Rhino's channel. I think it was called Belavista Woman there. I only find this one now, not on his channel: EDIT: Oh wait, it's there:

I seem to remember that there was another version of Diggin Burt Bacharach with a different title and completely different lyrics. Yep, "Black Tartan Guard Anthem", credited to Rossi solo. The site that hosted it is long gone. It was kind of incidental music to accompany a book project, it was never available to buy as a piece physically or digitally.

Totally missed this news. A shame that so much was removed but these still look worthwhile. And I'm slightly embarrassed that my "Encore Medley" naming seems to have stuck. Quoincidence What happened to Live Alive Quo?

There were an additional 9 demos across the 2 albums, that were dropped, as a couple of people didn't want them to be included along with the tour drone I mentioned earlier. I have on my lists 10 other demos, so one more, at least: * I Cried * Heavy Traffic * Green * Diggin' Burt Bacharch * Another Day * Rhythm Of Life * You Let Me Down * You'll Come Round * Lucinda * Thinking Of You Not really pointless, as they need a proper mastering. And I thought these Deluxes would be for collectors as well. Your own post basically answers this question. The early drafts (which I didn't have much to do with but Luke was kind enough to share with me) had all those tracks you mentioned, and so there were some serious space issues. We thought it would be more important to get the rarities out than to duplicate two songs three times (single versions, album versions, demos). So the most easily available versions got the axe. Seeing that so much was dropped, you're probably right that there would be space for them now. But as I've noticed, adding stuff is much harder than dropping it. If the two tracks had been added back, I guess it would've taken several more months to get the new versions approved. It's interesting you bring up Marillion. The 2CD editions were good, but often not comprehensive, missing most of the single versions and including no live material at all. And the mastering could've been better. Now they're doing these book sets of all the 8 EMI albums and are being woefully inconsistent - some albums have a remix and a remaster, some only got a remix, some don't include original mixes, some have the old bonus material on CD, some have it only on the Blu-Ray, some lack it altogether. The great thing about the new sets is that every one has a good or great sounding full-length live gig. So, what we're seeing with Quo is an attempt to walk a line between the approaches that's also commercially viable. At least Universal are doing this, while I'm still waiting for earmusic to do anything with the tracks recorded between Under the Influence and Famous in the Last Century ("Driving to Glory", "Analyze Time", "Obstruction Day", "Fighting with the Pack"). If they'd had any sense, they could have added them to that new 3CD compilation! Not to mention that there's certainly more that could be done with DS, UTI and TPAOY than the half-assed reissues we got.
