Couple of well known faces from when we were younger! "Richard O'Sullivan and Mike Yarwood at Brinsworth House where they are residents. Brinsworth House is a residential and nursing retirement home for theatre and entertainment professionals in Staines Road, Twickenham, West London."

@4th Chord A very long time ago I was in digs with Richard O'Sullivan's auntie's family who were thrilled to bits that he had played a part in the film "The Nun's Story" along with Audrey Hepburn and other famous actors.

I can scarcely believe that's Richard O'Sullivan! Mike Yarwood has retained some semblance of what he once looked like but Richard O'Sullivan? Surely it's an imposter? It reminds me of that pic that was put up here a few weeks ago of Noddy Holder and Dave Hill. Staggering what age does on the outside, let alone on the inside. Ironic thing is, I look exactly the same as I did when I was 25

I look the exactly the same as I did in 2021

Incidentally, for those who are not sure who Richard O'Sullivan is, this was him in the 70's. The pic is probably a media photo for "Robin's Nest" (the sequel to "Man About The House"). He's the one on the left by the way

I used to have naughty thoughts about Tessa Wyatt Was she married to Tony Blackburn? She was. He had a bit of a meltdown on his Radio 1 show after she dumped him. Embarrassingly so. She actually left him for Richard O'Sullivan I think. Here she is more recently. Howz those naughty thoughts now? Actually, to be fair, she's wearing very well.

I have to admit, my thoughts are not so naughty, but as you said, she is wearing well.

Great thread. Glad we have our priorities right. Less of fearing getting old but remembering who we fancied when young. Love it.

Great thread. Glad we have our priorities right. Less of fearing getting old but remembering who we fancied when young. Love it. Two crushes of mine (while we're on the subject ) were Katy Manning (Jo in Dr Who when Jon Pertwee was the doc) and Diane Keen for some reason (Shillingbury Tales and The Cuckoo Waltz).
Haven't seen either of them on TV in a very long time, although I think Katy Manning pitched up in some more recent Dr Who episodes. There is an obscure connection with the Shillingbury Tales to this thread. Robin Nedwell starred in it. He played one of the characters in "Doctor At Large" which also starred Richard O'Sullivan in an early TV role. Bingham I think. But if I was to list everyone I fancied when I was younger, we'd need a bigger message board

Great pics and choices mortified. Diane Keen I believe is in a daytime medical show, Doctors. She was in it but I don't watch and I haven't checked. Christopher Timothy (All Creatures Great & Small) disappeared there too. I had eclectic taste in my youth. Mickey Dolenz (The Monkees) he was funny but still cool. And Pete Duel (Alias Smith and Jones). More classically handsome but also super-smart too. I'll leave you all to look them up!

Oh, I know Mickey Dolenz and Pete Duel, curiousgirl Didn't the latter commit suicide? " Starring Pete Duel and Ben Murphy" is imprinted on my brain! Used to like that. A sort of poor man's Butch Cassidy.... Well, I was young Mickey Dolenz was quite talented I think. Went on to produce (or was it direct) some British TV. "Metal Mickey" springs to mind. I remember The Monkees but probably more from the repeats in the early to mid 70's. Although I did collect the bubble gum cards when I were a nipper. I'm getting all misty eyed now
