The last album I had bought was NTL. I still have no great familiarity with the albums in between, the closest being Heavy Traffic which I heard most of and it seemed pretty decent I suppose. So what album from the years between NTL and Hammy 13 do you recommend I listen to? What one will leave me least disappointed is probably the best way to put it.

<Sharp intake of breathe gremlin>.... I dunno. I quite like In Search of the Fourth Chord. Variety of sounds there. But I don't know many others. I would give Quid Pro Quo a miss.

Right I will give Fourth a try. Some of the tracks I have listened to on the net from some of the albums let me shaking my head. Awful

Awful Rox - the best CQ album in my opinion is TPAOY by a country mile. Try The Bubble, Familiar Blues, Goodbye Baby & Nevashooda Some stuff on 1982 is like NTL - especially this one:- 1982 was shite! No panel required

Riffs.......a rock classic. That album would never have been recorded had it not been for rifts

I like back to back, even though it has the dreaded Margie Time on it! TPAOY, Quid Pro Quo were disappointing. listen to rock til you drop, under the influence, heavy traffic and in search of the fourth chord

It appears that it depends who you ask Rox. We've strangely avoided FF vs CQ on here so far... Hi All, Carl, Well that was until you mentioned it............................
rockinon, You can listen to all the albums in between NTL and Aquostic on youtube in their entirety, it's simply down to your individual taste if your looking for anything like their hey day material none even comes close apart from the odd track here and there, the only album I consider to be totally useless is AC absolute pop garbage and I would think everybody on here would agree with that but like I said personal taste...........
Geoff.

I know you can listen to them on YouTube, I tried it and gave up promptly. The random tracks I selected were dire. it is what prompted my OP

In order to move forward you have to move away from Seventies Quo..the days of a rock bluesy boogie band with a raw sound were over....if you can master this then you can move forward.. you have to just listen and take a view..there are good tracks on every album..to be honest I have been getting into Ain't Complaining..very eighties rock pop...but songs like Magic, Cross That Bridge, Another Shipwreck etc seems really good to me but Backwater they are not..I still like the old Rossi whine on most songs unless they are a bit corny....you have a bit of catching up to do.
Cheers

Cheers No I don't. Cant believe you mentioned CTB, I have no wish to catch up with shite like that. Strangely enough though I did think AC was an enjoyable pop song
