Own some of 'em - Aerosmith's Draw The Line, The Cosmos Rocks by Queen & Paul Rodgers and a couple of others I haven't played in eons. The Aerosmith album I always thought was pretty good The Queen one is a bit hit an miss but there's a couple of great tracks on it. Maybe there wasn't enough campness on it for some. No Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy to get your teeth into Zeppelin's Presence isn't great and neither is Van Halen III. The rest I don't really know. But everyone loves a list. Even a made up one. Which most of 'em are.

Its piss poor list which shows a lack of knowledge entirely.
I know why Presence gets the kicking but have to say even though its more a Jimmy page solo album its a great album to me. But maybe thats just me.
Chris Cornell tried a completely different album. Its a solo record. I think the writer had jus googled bad albums. Also a comon thread in the list when bands lose the creative partnerships they often record poor albums. Thirst work. Rick couldnt be arsed. They end up with a terrible album etc.
What about Hot space. Surely on any list like this it deserves a place.
Albums that could go on the list but I'm sure there are many more, will stick with big bands. So mention of Cold Lake....
Alice Cooper Goes to hell
Rolling Stones - Emotional Rescue
Def Leppard Slang
Pink Floyd More
Lynyrd Skynyrd Edge of Forever
ACDC Fly on the wall
Status Quo have in many ways have a number of badly placed albums in their catelogue

Can't see the list 'cos I'm not registering just to read some turd scrapings, written by some guy who, [probably] just because he has long hair, 'fits the bill' as knowledgeable about [what's now called] 'Classic Rock'. Sounds to me like the epitome of Lazy journalism.
[Btw, HOW can there be a 'worst album' list if (I'm assuming) Kiss aren't on it? (sorry, a pet hate escaped there!!)]

A lot of those are the usual suspects, but music fans I think have a fascination with albums considered bad art. St. Anger a case in point, severely disliked but by far one of the most reviewed albums on rateyourmusic. Lulu (Metallica and Lou Reed) surely has displaced St. Anger as one of the most reviled albums in rock history.
I am in the minority in enjoying most of St. Anger but understand why its reputation is what it is.
Chinese Democracy I love, and still listen to it. A world away from AFD but some of Axls greatest work is on there. Completely OTT, self indulgent, but also majestic and powerful. It doesnt all work, but for the most part I think he came tantalisingly close to meeting the incredible hype.
Ditto Draw the Line - not as good as Rocks obviously, but better than some of their later material.
Cut the Crap - good god, what a mess. The songs were far better live. A fan has actually re-recorded all of the music and kept the vocal tracks for a "new" vastly improved version of this maligned album. It's on YouTube (Mohawk Revenge I think he is calling it) - well worth it if you're a fan.

Songs from The Elder is quite something alright, a band of Kiss' ouevre attempting a rock opera and doing so in such a po-faced, pretentious way. However, that being said, the seriousness of these lady obsessed somewhat generic writers in this undertaking adds a unique absurdity to it. Cult classic is the phrase I think. And a cult classic it is. Best review I've read of it - "in which these complete and utter sleaze bags try coming across all noble, pious and Knightly.."
The Elder will always have an aura; it is ludicrous, overblown, and unlike anything else they've done. Which is enough for many die hard to award it a badge of honour of sorts.
They've made worse albums than the Elder, I would rate Carnival of Souls worse as hearing them try and be Alice in Chains is ridiculous. Some good tracks, but my least favourite Kiss album. The Elder, pompous and ridiculous, yes, but some of the songs are decent. 'I', 'The Oath' and 'World Without Heroes' in particular.

At first, it wasn't an easy page to negotiate. The adverts were all over the place and made my screen look like a brochure for Las Vegas there was so much going on. But it settled down and I was able to read the thing. Lists of any description like this are, indeed, lazy journalism. But I tend to find that with the discipline now anyway; and not just music journalism. Everything is a soundbite for the tablet/smartphone generation. Which is probably most of us now. I guarantee every single one of us could do a top however-many list of worst albums by classic bands (whatever they are). Even if we all stuck to the same artists, we'd all cite different albums. It's called taste

It's weird, but a couple of weeks ago I did a Zep retro survey on a quiet weekend afternoon, and I could have sworn we had a copy of Presence, either vinyl or CD, but could I find it? AFAE, it has Achilles Last Stand on it, which is one of their few really great late songs. Did I melt it down? Did I use it as a Frisby? No idea! it is a disappointing album though.

It shows the journalists lack of knowledge by not including Tusk by Fleetwood Mac.
