All 3 nights exist and the release was definitely a combination of the 3 nights, as JL intro and ITABW are from Night 2 OK if all 3 exist is it possible to hear the 3rd gig alone? I’m interested after reading Francis’s thoughts on it being the best. Yeah it would just have to be remixed. I'm not too sure if the tapes have been digitised for the 3rd night. I know Nights 1 & 2 have because they were used for the 2 "drones" made for the Reunion tour - One was made were each band member was introduced individually, and then the other using that famous JL intro.

I’ve enjoyed every one of the deluxe editions. And I really liked the rehearsal tapes that emerged ten or so years ago Awful awful stuff. Rick and Francis completely f*cking out of it. You know you're struggling for material when you use that. I think it's embarrassing, besides the stellar performance of Wild Side Of Life. That would be worth remixing if those initial tapes from Montserrat still exist. It first leaked in 2011, and a lot of people thought it was rehearsals for the QPQ tour at first, then it became 1982 rehearsals when both of those are utter bollocks. AIR Studios early '83.

That’s why I enjoy it. It’s interesting to hear them in that out of it period. Running through umleiting etc and frame taking nuff through stay the night.
Quality is bad but it’s an interesting document

That was my thought when I first heard it. I was surprised that it got an official release. It doesn't exactly show them in a good light Although, as matt says, I suppose it is an interesting document of those days. I thought the final version of Restless was bad until I heard this one Can you see any other band putting this sort of thing out? It's almost like saying, "here, listen to this; this is how crap we really are"

Monitor mixes, outtakes, alt mixes etc... The only albums I can think of that they no doubt struggled for material for was all of the 70s albums, besides the demos.

Unfortunately it does mean that us as fans get denied some of the things that fans of other bands get, like some of the lovely archive material that Quoincidence alludes to. But then, too much of that and we get spoiled!

I know I shouldn't because it's a different world in terms of finance and popularity but I look at the vast amount of archive stuff being released by people like the Stones, David Bowie and even Prince and tend to use those as a benchmark. When, in fact, it's merely a bucket list 70's Quo was far too serious for today's Quo. What would Loose Women and The One Show say?
