Correct me if I'm wrong but a while ago, in one of the threads here, I recall reading that Francis disliked how the Live album turned out as he was unhappy that they didn't clean up the sound before it was released. He said he wished they had released the live recording of the 3rd show at Glasgow Apollo as the band were much tighter that particular night. If that is so, then would that 3rd night recording be in some backroom gathering dust? Would love to hear it. Quoincidence would you know anything of this recording?

All 3 nights exist and the release was definitely a combination of the 3 nights, as JL intro and ITABW are from Night 2

I’m interested after reading Francis’s thoughts on it being the best.

Francis isn't happy about any year where the 7 is the third digit in This is not a criticism as it’s just the person he is but he’s not happy about that much of the bands catalogue. He is so frustrated by the being in a band. Most artists embrace their golden period or periods. Whereas he doesn’t. Have to feel sorry for him.

Francis should spend less time analysing everything he doesn’t like and more time looking at what made his band successful and him a millionaire several times over.
The holy grail of Quo content is 70-77. And then 77-84. I actually like the deep delves into the later stuff too but really it’s not rocket science to see what is Quos most Commercial period

I actually like the deep delves into the later stuff too but really it’s not rocket science to see what is Quos most Commercial period 100% true I'd say. We're all aware of the lack of footage of the band during that period; I mean actual live gig footage as opposed to TV appearances. If something like that turned up and could be restored to HD quality (or whatever it is these days), I think most of us would be pretty excited. Even me! Live audio tracks of any quality are also very thin on the ground. Even the deluxe edition live stuff was pretty poor quality by today's standards. That's no reflection whatsoever on those who put it together. You can only play with the hand you're dealt.

I’ve enjoyed every one of the deluxe editions.
And I really liked the rehearsal tapes that emerged ten or so years ago
