For context, this is a 4 page spread - they do that very rarely and only for BIG stars! (Sadly) They have a more and more populated obituries section where most people get half a page or so.

Just tried to buy it but they only had last month's (AC/DC on the front cover). I think subscribers probably get it first.

Just to confirm that I'm a subscriber, so yes, I've got it first. Modern day Deep Purple on the cover with mention of Alan at the bottom left of the cover. WH Smith seem to get it quite early. Don't expect any revelations, but it's a nice tribute.

Over here I had to wait several weeks for the Maiden one. How I love Brexit!

Haven't been able to pick up a copy yet but salute to Dave Ling who has, no doubt, written a piece full of admiration for Alan and his part in the band, its formation and its heyday. Wonderful to see the recognition Alan deserves and then some.

Got mine yesterday. I hadn't know about the "reclaim Quo's legacy" comments re the reunion, or that Alan regarded Quo as his band (he put the band together and appointed the manager etc)

Thanks again jaynieeee for sending me the Classic mag.👍 It’s a great tribute to Alan, plus I enjoyed checking out the rest of the articles. I’m pretty jealous of your choice of bands which are touring there upon reading the ‘Tour Date’s’ section.

Thanks 4th Chord for the pdf. I was distracted when the mag was released. And never found a copy. Great that Alan's being recognised in these tributes.
