Thanks 4th. Not but a bit more detail than I remember from 2013. The bit about the management and the lawyer being the problem ... cover story. It all fell apart again a few years later between Rossi and Alan without any help from lawyers ... I never really got why, but I guess the old beefs were genuine and didn't just go away.

A couple of things from this interview. I can remember it clearly. Firstly, the reunion gigs did not sell out in 10 minutes.Secondly Rossi tries to belittle Lancaster at any given opportunity, bad form. And finally I cant believe this was nine years ago. I was in my early fifties when they announced the reunion gigs and Rossi was in his early sixties. Now I am in my early sixties and Rossi is in his early seventies. Blimey, where the fcuk has the time gone!

Jeez, Rossi can really come across as a right nasty little git at times, huh? I mean what's his f*#@ing problem - can't he be civil to anyone? Sorry folks, I realise I can come across as really letting him get on my wick - but he's relentless with his superior, smart-arse nastiness. God, to think he used to be my hero. Mind you, I was 17 then!! [btw, thanks for posting the link 4th!]

Think your totally missing the point. It’s Status Quo 70’s banter. They used to just rip the piss out of each other and wind Journalists up. It’s what they did/do. I witnessed it back stage at Newcastle in 79. I just don’t see it any other way tbh.

No - I get all that and it makes sense if we're talking about his conduct/behaviour in the 70s [i.e. PRE- the bust up, court case etc. with Alan] But in this case we're not, its an interview from the reunion days, so all that's gone before IS in the mix when they talk, or in FR's case, cast about smartarse or 'funny' remarks. So if we add into all that his current/ongoing denigrating of 70s-era fans then, I'm sorry, but I still think he seems a nasty and occasionally bitter little arse.

He may think the same of us fitting into the Nasty and bitter little arses category. Given comments about him in various threads to quote your opinion of him. It’s all opinions opinions opinions. You will never prove to be right or wrong. What is done is done. In the long run it will be the longetivity of a cracking band and the music that will be remembered and nothing else.

Nah, Rossi, is not a nice bloke. Ruined Quo to get his country pop Quo lite, instead of going it alone. I remember how he kept belittling Alan, calling him small and little etc. Not nice when he knew he was ill.

Yep, granted it's all opinions alright blagult - however he keeps providing us with evidence that bolster 'our' side of things, so I don't really have to be proven right [or wrong] - he does that proving all by himself! You're right about the music tho' - it does, and will, outlast him [and us too!]

Yep that is one sure fire thing. The music lives on Longer than anyone. Including this message board. But he won’t be forgotten because it’s him playing his part in it. Dare I say quite a major role in it. That’s why it exists in the first Place.
