What an absolute embarrassment the Alan tribute was on Studio 10. After announcing his passing, the host says ‘and here he is this video clip wearing his white t-shirt and tight blue jeans’ … whereupon they show the RAOTW clip and zoom in on Rick in the white t -shirt and jeans… no Alan! What a balls up. That's fecking unbelievable! They had Alan on the show four years ago, who does there research on that program? The lady who paid tribute to Alan, then proceeded to bugger it up by showing Rick singing away instead of Alan (and didn’t correct herself) was Angela Bishop. Oddly enough it was Craig Bennett who is a close mate of Alan and he was the fella who first released the news of Alan’s passing. Craig actually works on Studio 10 and he also did the Alan interview on that show 4 years ago. I reckon he would’ve ripped right into Angela for stuffing up the segment big time.

Gutted. Like many others so glad I saw the Frantic Four in 13/14.
Rest in Peace Nuff. At least he and Francis had the chance to make up.

Another hero gone. I'll cherish the memories from the FF concerts in the 70's. RIP Nuff.

I'm lost for words. Just read the news here as I was off-line yesterday.
Alan was one 4th of Quo for me. And I'm thankful for those reunion gigs to remember and celebrate that.
Rest in Peace Alan. Thanks for all the music.

yes its disgusting. wouldn't happen to any other band To be fair I have seen this stupidity before with a Radio Station. "Tribute to Ronnie James Dio, who was in Rainbow and Black Sabbath". They played Paranoid and Since You've Been Gone.

They probably threw away everything earlier than 1990 and never heard of the Reunion.

They played Paranoid and Since You've Been Gone. Exactly. I remember somebody celebrating the anniversary of Pink Floyd's The Wall shows 1980/1981 with a track from... Roger Waters' 1990 solo performance in Berlin with Paul Carrack singing. And Fish's birthday celebrated with "Sympathy", recorded a few years after Fish left Marillion.

Saddened and sorry to hear this news.
Alan always had Quo at heart and fundamentally knew what's its essence was. He was vital to it. Great heart and soul that is crystal clear in his songs, bass playing and performances.
In staying with this principle he may have suffered and lost out as a result, but he was steadfast, and he was right.
I never as such lost my admiration and respect for the man, for his humanity, truth and being 'Quo', and part of the family. A true gentleman. He did not waver.
I admire him for this talent and principles, and today with a few tears in my eyes I also know that his head rests higher for his dignity and truth.
Total respect to the man
RIP Alan. Thanks for the music.
