Agreed. The weak link so to speak It's actually OK in a singalong, la-de-da sort of way. It just pales against what's round about it. As a teenager, I remember listening to it but really just waiting for Mystery Song. Getting up to move the stylus was just a nuisance at that age

Don't like it. All the Lancaster penned songs that I like from this album are the ones with Rossi. Different, yes, but something is missing.

I, as you may well know, love this song. The perfect Hors d'oeuvre for what's coming next, it actually matches up with the start of The Mystery Song..before the mayhem that follows. Sometimes things make so much sense it's hard to believe it's credible. I can't play The Mystery Song without playing this first, they belong together.

I don't know what this is
A ballad? Not really, it's got a thumping bass and a very fast solo
As with the title track, it provides the lighter moments that the album needs

Getting up to move the stylus was just a nuisance at that age That's why they put where they did, the first musical energy saving device. They improved this in later years by producing whole albums that you couldn't even be bothered to play!

So to you learned people on here, what is said as Ease Your Mind finishes and just before the epic Mystery Song starts?

So to you learned people on here, what is said as Ease Your Mind finishes and just before the epic Mystery Song starts? & is it at the end of Ease Your Mind, or the start of Mystery Song, or in between? & who says it?

So to you learned people on here, what is said as Ease Your Mind finishes and just before the epic Mystery Song starts? "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the crystalline ball" ?

It seems to be at the end of Ease Your Mind on my CD - the song is still fading out when Alan says it!
But i guess he might be introducing MS, so i see why you asked!

Alan throwing us a curved ball?! Twice in a sense with 'Ease Your Mind' and the track 'Blue For You' in the mix. Both fairly laid back, not so much easy listening but Alan trying out a few unexpected musical ideas.
'Ease Your Mind' has an almost Piano (Cocktail!) lounge bar feel to it. Think Andy plays a bit of piano on the track.
That all said, I think Blue For You is a quality album and those two tracks sit in well on the album overall in a good way rather than bring it down. If they had played them on stage it would have brought the fever pitch down a bit though!
