In the commentary track of one episode of 'Black Books' Bill Bailey (sporting a ponytail on screen) introduces himself:
Dylan Moran: "Hello, I'm Dylan Moran" Tamsin Greig: "I'm Tamsin Greig" Bill Bailey : "And I'm Francis Rossi, on the run from Status Quo"

Taking a slight left turn on this, if I maybe so bold...
The actor Ray Burdis, who regularly appeared in the sitcom 'Three Up Two Down' is also the bloke who appeared in Quo's 'Dear John' video. Filmed at the Astoria Theatre in London I think?

Eastenders mentioned Quo a few weeks back
Billy Mitchell was saying he had sold a record for £1000
Phil Mitchell was initially surprised but then said "ahh but its Quo"

Filmed at the Astoria Theatre in London I think? I believe so. Still acting but now quite portly and bald. Saw him in something recently but can't remember what it was. Some detective thing or other probably. I once checked his IMDB profile and the video isn't even mentioned in his CV

Hadn't seen that one before [missed most of Season1 I'm 'fraid!] - brilliant! Toby Jones is a class act imho!

There was a sitcom years ago called, I think, Sink or Swim which was about two brothers.
In one episode one of them, who wore a flying jacket and was supposed to be the 'uncouth' one, says something like "I'd rather be at a Status Quo concert with me 'ead stuck in a speaker."

I seem to recall an episode of 2.4 children a 1990s sitcom that mentioned Quo. The episode ended with the main actor going to a Quo gig. I have tried to find it online, but to no avail. Maybe I dreamed it!
