Just saw something on Facebook about a tour where Rossi plays 16 classics acoustically . Said it’s being planned for 2023 but no further details yet. Cheers

First I've heard but it's no doubt a response to the reaction he gets on his talk tour to the little snippets he plays throughout the show. Which are very good, I must admit. I'd go You know what it's like though. As soon as something is remotely successful or gets a good reaction, someone convinces them it has to be done at least twice. Or until the popularity or enthusiasm wanes. Which is usually after twice. If not before

I'd go its to make up for cancelled Talk Too Much shows. "In order to make up for your disappointment, we are programming Francis Rossi - Acoustic Greatest Hits. This show, in 2023, will feature 16 classics played acoustically. For those with bookings for Francis Rossi I Talk Too Much we will be in touch shortly to offer priority booking for the 2023 show."

We won't actually know this early but do we think he will have the backing of a band? Or is this a solo, sit on a chair thing? Just musing

Just musing If it's just him, spotlight, guitar, I'm definitely interested. Maybe someone on rhythm guitar. If it's him, accordion and cocktail dress backing singers, I'm less interested. Bit of In My Chair would be nice.

Yes. It's quo-ish, and some of us like it. (a bit) Frame on the other hand would like to produce lots of other stuff, but nobody's interested.

He could be joined on stage by Bongo Coghlan.

If it was full acoustic just played by him I reckon it would be worth seeing. I know, lets put together a set list and then have a debate and a row about it all blaming Rhino for getting Alan the sack.
