uh - sorry folks, but 'Iain' ?? Iain Jones. Keyboard tech from '77 up until '79, and became the bands Tour Manager (replacing Bob) in 1981. He was with the band until the Live Alive Quo tour

Thanks for brining out the demons in my mind again after 37 years of therapy. Margie Time and that bloody dumb arsed video destroyed my favourite rock band in one foul swoop.
Can't believe I still look on in disdain every time that song gets a mention. Imagine holding such a grudge for so damn long. The impact on my well being was huge. I wouldn't wish it on anybody.
Alan is infamously known for saying how he had to face his family with this and yet, a mere fan such as I had to face my peers at Uni with fellow rock fans who laughed in my face and poked fun at me for sticking by Quo with this dirge.
I need a lie down.

The Quo fan's favourite Very possibly THE one that did it for many. I don't like it. Never have. Not my cup of cookie. But it hasn't ruined my life Quo's record/music companies have got many things wrong over the years but releasing this as a single before Christmas wasn't one of them. Of course, their agenda is different from most of ours. But who's the daft one? I have this single in 4 different vinyl formats Or is it 3? Can't remember if it ever came out as a 12" single. Possibly not. CBA ((c) railroad007) looking. Had it remained hidden away on an album like, say, Tommy (both versions), it may not be quite so reviled. But with it being SO successful, it pretty much put a tin lid on the past and opened the door to more, eh, experimental singles

Arguably, the song Rossi should have used to launch his solo career. It's a great song, but not really very Quo. However, neither were Quo at this point in time, hadn't been for a while - apart from live, of course.

Just 2, regular 7" single and picture disc 7" single. I don't know how it is possible that it isn't a maxi single remix, the last 2 singles were the first for them.

However, neither were Quo at this point in time, hadn't been for a while - apart from live, of course. Ironically, if Francis Rossi had released this as his first solo single, it would have been a big hit and would perhaps have appeased him and kept the band together... Instead, he let his insecurities and ego get in the way and we all know what happened...
